Talked to Kyle Shanahan for my @TheAthletic story: “What I regret it for was my dad. He had earned a better situation than that. My dad was as good a coach as I’ve ever been around. He could have gone anywhere. It’s hard for me to know he wasted (his last chance) on Washington.”

Its just Skins being Skins. He was between a rock and a hard place. His chances of success were severely limited. But I don't think he helped his own cause either. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Should be interesting to see what happens if we ever end up with another superstar the way RGIII was in 2012. Will Snyder learn his lesson and let the head coach do his job or will he empower that player to the point where he’s basically running the show.
Make no mistake about it, Snyder ruined RGIII. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

And the Smithsonian connection where it appears the name wasn't as widely offensive as some would have us believe. But now the name has been drug through the mud so many times and is more associated with being the latest embarrassment to the NFL that I don't care if it's changed. Being a shitshow for 20 odd years and doing things like bringing in Reuben Foster has done more damage to the name than that upstate-NY tribe ever could. |

Snyder has managed to do something that is damn near impossible. On top of that, your average Joe doesn't even know the half of how poorly he has treated Redskins fans, his own employees and others. Well, Dan is undermining Jay again. After Joe Barry and Manusky, Jay shouldn't be able to pick anybody. (Who knows how Callahan got here and more importantly stayed here.) It doesn't work if a coach can't choose and administrate his own staff. Smart coach avoids the dysfunction. Everything is normal, carry on. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

I don’t think Shannahan wanted RG3, which is why he took Cousins in the same draft 3 rounds later, and then proceeded to tell everyone how special Cousins is over the years while never having anything nice to say of RG3. Another Snyder move. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Bowles and especially Williams know better than to come here. When you start trying to lure coordinators here and go over your head coach then it's time to just fire your head coach.
