Brunell must throw away 50% of his passes
|
Hey I just wanna give a shoutout to all those who predicted a 56-7 skins win!
Of course even I was off...27-7 didnt happen. lol |
You know, I was a Skins fan when we got cheated out of the playoffs in Dallas by the refs under Pardee and the following year when they stank under Pardee. I was a Skins fan when Gibbs was 0 - 5 and people were saying they wanted Pardee back.
I think everyone has underestimated how bad this team was as a team. Everyone blamed it on Spurrier - and I think he deserves blame - but what someone did on another team before they came here doesn't count. This was a lousy team last year, with or without Spurrier. And the only mistake I think people have made this year, including myself, is thinking that Gibbs could turn a lousy team into a great one in one camp. Ain't going to happen. However, they will get better. The problems we see are correctable and I have confidence that Gibbs and his staff are working on them. That alone is different from last year when Spurrier didn't even seem to care, and neither did the players. My two cents.
I thought under Gibbs we'd cut down on penalties and turnovers........ little did I know..................... :soapbox: I thought professionals knew how to CATCH passes, guess I expected too much.........Howie is right.............no business losing this game.......... SOMEWHERE Kellen Winslow Jr is smilling.................. :screama: |
I stopped predicting thinking I was jynxing the team. Guess I wasn't the only one
|
SOmeone blamed our defense? You must be kidding. If it weren't for our defense we'd be blown out every game.
|
Until these players give a crap about winning, it ain't gonna happen. The Eagles, Giants and Cowboys all go out there wanting to win the game. I don't see this with this team, even with Gibbs and the new coaches. Pick up their fat paychecks and don't care if they win or lose.... and I don't want to hear Gibbs saying how the players busted ass all game. Mentally these players are not there... I'm so tired of seeing all these Skins teams looking so great on paper and playing so lousy on the field.

Maybe we should start making Chunky Soup commercials like the Iggles

we'd have to win first... |

 I don't think it's so much the soup as the team mom.........that's what we need........it Snyder is willing to pay for a ref in the booth, he should pay for a team mom to read bed time stories and to watch the players diet....... Thanks for a smile Jamaican Skin............ |
Had to try and lighten the mood

Exactly. The Skins lack desire. |
I agree that they lack desire. Unfortunately, that's the hardest thing to change. But perseverence and patience are the only solution. The worst thing we could do is contemplate another major shakeup - that's part of the reason we have this attitude in the first place...
|
I think Gibbs will help Snyder keep a cool head, so I doubt that there are gonna be any major trades or anything like that
|
Looks like we over- hyped this season
|
Whats the difference between a blow out and a four point loss.. a loss is a loss. Defence should be winning games but it isn't.
All aspects of the team are failing coaching, offence, defence and special teams BUT this is a process and it is the chopping and changing things around which has got us into this mess. If Gibbs cannot motivate these players then I am at a loss to think who can. Anyone thinking Spurrier would be winning here right now maybe wasn't watching the team last year and may have missed the news flash that he walked out. |
