Yes. Previous page. Miss America asking Aaron Rodgers to call her. |
Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round
Media darlings Aaron Rogers and Drew Brees lost. Too bad! Ha!
It is a fact the NFL changed the rules of the game over the last 10 to 15 years years to increase passing. Allowing offensive lineman to hold, denying DB's any contact on receivers after 3.5 yards from scrimmage and all of the rules to protect Qb's and defenseless recievers . Now we have Qb's breaking records right and left and the media wants us to to believe it is all that these QB's are better than the ones that played before. Wrong. There are great players on defense in the NFL as well. Well now there is justice. The teams that have bought into the NFL's attempt to make the NFL a "QB driven league" and are hyper dependent on throwing the ball are getting beat in the playoffs. Balanced teams that run the ball as many times as they pass and commit to running the ball are doing well. Atlanta that gave away most of their draft picks for ONE WR are at home. They thought they were one WR away from the promise land. NO. NOW we already have media bitches today saying a Ravens vs. 49ers SB would be boring. Well Tom Terrific and the Pats are 0-2 against teams over .500 recors this year. Ravens can beat them because they have a running game and a good defense. Which New England defense will show next weekend? The one that played a weak Tebow offense or the one that got slammed all season this year? I say the bad one.
I believe the Pats are only giving up an average of 18 points a game over the last 9, but I agree with your premise. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a mirror image of the game they played a few years. Ravens style of running the ball, dominating time of possession and playing great D is the perfect kryptonite for the Pats style of play. |
If you look at his career, then you are absolutely right. However if you isolate this past year he is a legitimate Pro Bowl caliber QB. Weather or not he can sustain that type of success remains to be seen but right now he's legit.
He was like the 8th or 9th best quarterback in the NFC this year. Granted, that may be good enough to make the pro bowl these days.

Being modest aren't we? You'd have to HAVE her first in order to have THAT even be a possibility... ;) And you don't have the discount double check. |

lulz
You can't blame the sign maker for that, though: Virgin America doesn't fly to New Orleans. Denver's O and Bmore's O are pretty much on the same level. I almost take Tebow over Flacco at this point. The Pats get it done, you know Ed Reed is hurting as well. Bmore's biggest problem is their O-line, they have been pretty awful of late. Also to compare the 09 Pats (the Team Bmore beat in playoffs) to 11 Pats is waste of time especially on offense. Now they have the two big TE's, A better Welker, and a health Brady (09 just coming back from knee surgery). Tom knows his time is coming to a end he is not going to let this opportunity to add another ring to his finger slip away. I will be shocked if B-more wins this game. Plus something tells me Dark Hoody can come up with a game plan on D to at least hold B-more to less points then Tom's O. |
I always thought Carlos was a better CB than D-hall so not sure why you even bring D-hall up. I'm not bitter about Carlos, but I'm glad his sorry ass attitude is gone.
No, no he didn't. Let me share with you some info that another insider brought to the table over the past couple of years in regards to Carlos Rogers. Remember Willie Parker's comment about some of the guys were more concerned with clubbing than they were football? The number one guy at the top of the 3 ring circus was Carlos Rogers himself. Club going all throughout the week, get home at 4am with having to be at practice the following morning. This was not limited to the weekdays either because it was also a issue of him going out on Saturday nights doing the same thing knowing he had a game the next day. Not only that, he really only had 1 good year since being drafted with the 9th pick back in 2005. He's almost had more INTs in this one year(6), than he's basically had in his six years as a Redskins. (8) What does that tell you about Carlos Rogers? What does that tell you about the effort he's given to the Redskins? Why didn't he put that type of effort while playing here if he wanted to get paid? Also, why is it the only type of contract he was offered from any other team was a measly ONE year deal worth 4 mil. He talked during the off-season how he was one of the top FA CBs on the market, and yet he couldn't even fetch no more than that? LOL Carlos is playing his ass off because he is broke and wants to get paid. He's had financial problems since he's been in the league and is in need of the big payday. Don't give me this bullshit that the front office screwed Carlos over. NO, Carlos screwed himself. Even after all the bullshit I've covered on this jackass, the Skins still offered him a multi-year contract, but it wasn't the baller money that Carlos was requesting. You see, he's looking Cromartie type of money, or D-hall type since that's the guy he targeted during the off-season with his rant about being paid.
How long was Willie Parker here??? Sorry, I'm not putting any stock into what he says. But my point all along with Rogers was this..time and time again the Skins fo brings in players that aren't as good as him. They're getting overpaid. Adam Arch, the worlds highest paid punt protector. And DHall who can't cover or tackle. Fat Albert. I can see why he gave up. To me there's blame on both sides. |

The current FO didn't bring in those guys so that makes it irrelevant to what happened previously. SO he's mad that the current FO is smarter than the previous ones that handed out fat contracts to guys who didn't perform? Sounds like personal problem. Had he played his ass off the 6 years he was here, he would have gotten paid big time from us or somebody else no doubt. He halfed assed it like the rest of the guys on the squad and he got paid accordingly to. (see his 1 year deal for proof) You don't see Carlos mad that he didn't earn that lofty draft spot or big time coin he got paid either. Also, who cares how long Willie Parker was here? It didn't take him long to realize what some of the Skins players were all about. He's not the first to say that about the previous teams either. Good news, times are a changing though. |

F Carlos Rogers. I've met few athletes who feel more entitled than he does.
How much is 1 mole?
Depends on a mole of what... 1 mole of gold as of this morning's price for gold is worth $10, 476 1 mole of water - - even overpriced spring water from some mountain in the Alps - - is only worth about a nickel. 1 mole in my backyard when my cat is out there is not worth much at all... |
