Re: Quick start strong finish Niners vs WFT game-day thread !
I think if we can beat the only undefeated team in the league week 14, we have as good as a shot as anyone with the way our D is playing. We just need Alex to be his normal game managing, no turnovers, clock chewing, time of possession grabbing self and we will be right in it. Haskins, if he stays in for some reason due to an injury to Alex, just isn’t going to do it.
AND they need Gibson back. |
I agree. However Smith looked fucking awful before he got hurt. Just awful. It was actually surprising how awful he looked. We are also doing this without a bonafide lead back. McKissik and Barber are great change of back guys but we need a bell cow like Gibson. Truly remarkable this team is beating really good teams on the road. Hats off the RR. He has this TEAM buying what he is selling.
Yeah I agree but his past couple games have been solid. I think he had a higher ceiling than Haskins right now. Totally on board with what you said about Gibson. Anyone heard what Gibson’s injury prognosis is at this point for a return? |
Re: Quick start strong finish Niners vs WFT game-day thread !
Seattle will be a rough game because of Russell Wilson. He is playing well and is at the top of his game. It’s possible but the offense has to score more - we need both Smith and Gibson healthy!!!!!

Alex wasn’t able to push off on the right Leg. The hurt LEG that almost killed him. When you can see the right closeup (to the other leg) the muscle mass loss is very apparent. He did look bad and missed open guys. This and Haskin’s crappy performance are the wake up call for drafting a top QB in the first round next year. No more stopgap QB - go for the franchise QB in the draft , with Alex as his mentor.. Another lousy performance was Steve Sims. He has a chance at a pass thrown slightly ahead of him. If he had dove for it he could have had it. He drops At LEAST ONE PASS A GAME. He fair catches every punt. What good is he?? Bench him so we get a better feel for Everett and Wright.
