Worse. Most days, I'm the only man in the office. This place is like 95% women.

Leading up to the election, there was no intelligent debate or discussion going on...they were just raging about what showed up on their Facebook page that morning.

Triffic. How the hell do you people in N VA. deal with that traffic everyday. I went to Reston Wed. for a Thursday meeting and the traffic going into Reston Wed. evening was not too bad but I left Reston around 4:45 yesterday. It was traffic as far as I could see and not moving. How the hell does 95 come to a stop when there are no traffic signals and no accidents? Someone told me yesterday was not bad compared to most days.

Every time I have to go to Reston I just go ahead and add another 1-2 hours onto my commute. I go to Learning Tree training every few months up there and I just stay in the hotel right behind it even though it's crazy expensive because the traffic up there makes me insane.

This is tough. I live in Arlington and I gladly pay a bit more to reduce my commute. There are people that commute hours each way every day. It's unreal. I get that NoVA salaries are higher than most places in the country, but spending 4 hours of my life in traffic every day isn't worth the reward. My job got moved to Maryland about 2-3 years ago... I made it only a few months and a couple 3 hour commutes until I left.

I live in Woodbridge and commute about 20 miles to Alexandria 5 days a week and it usually takes me 45 min-hour if it's normal traffic. If there's an accident or even a cop on the side of the road it could delay me 15-30 min. I'm used to it by now though.

I live in DC, commute to Alexandria around 7:15am, takes me about 30 minutes to get there.

The worst is coming from Alexandria into DC. Even at 7:30am, traffic is locked up. I feel for anyone heading from VA to DC or from Baltimore to DC.

I live in Columbia and commute to Linthicum, near BWI, and the MTA recently "fixed" the main road outside of my office. Basically they turned it into an even bigger cluster F than it used to be and lately it's taken me an extra 15-30 minutes to get into the office. Luckily this is my slow time of the year so it's not a big deal, but it is seriously frustrating!

I hear you guys on the traffic. I have to travel down 12 steps and through my living room to get where I am going. If my kids are standing in the way then I have to detour through the kitchen just to get to my laptop. It can add on an extra 3 seconds. Traffic in the DMV sucks!

What seriously grinds my gears lately is the definition that has been rubber stamped onto the word faith as “believing in something to which there is no evidence for” (my paraphrase). If there was no evidence then, people wouldn't believe. The evidence that does exist is often dismissed or overlooked because the powers that be determine that the evidence is not authoritative enough for them. I ask how much more authority do you need? Both sides make assumptions based on the facts, and build their theories based on those assumptions, but only one side can be correct. As it stands now neither side can provide the type of proof that would convince the other of which is right and which is wrong, but to have the audacity to tell a believer that they base their entire belief system on blind faith and zero evidence is ignorance in its fully developed state.

I telecommute 3 days a week, and drive from Frederick to Herndon (via Route 15/7/28, it's about an hour each way; if traffic is real bad, we'll take the Greenway) twice a week. Since I ride in with 2 other people, I only have to drive every third time. Makes it very bearable. However, that allows me to truck my youngest daughter to daycare, then the oldest and I eat breakfast then I take her to preschool, picking her up at 11:30 (12:30 if she eats lunch there), and taking her over to daycare.

the building i work in provides umbrellas, for a 40yd walk to the parking garage? in basically the lightest rain possible. i guess it's all relative

Not mentioning the fact Obama was re-elected, I don't like the fact Obama or the Democrats will not budge and find a happy medium for both sides. Obama is like take my plan or were ready to go into the fiscal cliff.

I'm an Independant, I voted for Obama the first time, but at this point I'm mad at the Democrats and I'm ready to run this bus were on right off the fiscal cliff and blame the Democrats for everything.

I got a better idea..... how about we stream line the government, cut half it's work force, force all the government workers to include Obama down to take a significant pay cut (maybe 25%), find a flat tax that works fair for everyone, drop ObamaCare and get a panel of Doctors and Lawyers working together to get medical care costs down, and for the people with out medical coverage have them work through Social Services and if they don't make enough money (similar to food stamps) the government will give them a cheap health coverage.

Honestly right now I'm ready to throw all this back into the Democrats faces by simply quiting my job and applying for aid. I mean if 47% of America can collect free shit while sitting on their asses then why can't I? I really wonder how ObamaCare will work out if say 67% of it's population is not working and less people are busting their asses to support the majority? I have a lot and I mean a lot of friends who are ready to do just that. Collect free government aid.

I used to work with this woman who would come into the office every morning on her cell phone yappin' away, she would sit down at her desk and continue to yap for another 10-15 minutes.

What I don't get is some of my co-workers will start making calls first thing in the morning at 8am, I'm like hot damn I'd be pissed if some insurance company called me that early. I always wait til after 9am to start making calls.
