as a reference point DeAngelo Hall would be 30 this year, Talib just turned 27....not sure we should consider a guy that will soon be 36....no way a CB can truly hold his own at that age...unless you are Darrel Green
At 35, PFF rated Winfield out as a 25.5. Both Hall and Talib rated in the negatives. Maybe he doesnt truly hold his own at that age, but the majority of alternatives dont hold their own at any age based on those metrics. Pacman has the next best rating as a FA (at 11.1). His antics still worry me some although it appears he is putting that behind him.

I'd be fine with Winfield as a reserve...has to better than Cedric Griffin. If we sign him as a third corner and get a better CB to start alongside Wilson, good move. We're rolling the dice with Winfield as a starter and would probably have been better off with Hall.

I still like Antoine Cason or Quentin Jammer since Toler is gone now.

Chris Houston, Keenan Lewis, Jerraud Powers, Captain Munnerlyn, Marcus Trufant...all decent options.

For a reasonable price, Winfield would be great as an over-the-cap-penalty-hump stopgap, so long as we bring in some younger developmental folks, too.

You have to have confidence in your starting CB's. Winfield offers more confidence than Talib or Pacman. And although we all hope that Crawford breaks out, right now he does not inspire confidence as a starter.

Winfield, even at 36, is definitely better than CedGriff.

boy Michael Huff would be a great pick up for us at safety. This would be my free agency safety choice.
Browns looking into Fred Davis. :(
I don't expect the Skins to sign Davis if there is competition for his services. That doesn't bother me much because I accept that we can't keep every player we would like to keep due to our current cap constraints.

Also, we won without him and it's unknown how well he'll be able to perform coming off of a major injury.

Worst case on any open spot at this point is we put a rookie/2nd year guy in and see. With 44 of our guys returning, and the spots the rookies would be playing already our weakest(minus TE), I don't see it as doom and gloom, just an offseason junkie withdrawal period.

Nnamdi is the best CB out there, he had a bad year last year. I look for him to bounce back, the problem is if we can fit him to a friendly contract.

I actually agree on this one, guy was an All Pro in Oakland. Yeah he's a little older now but he's better than what we have. Obviously
