If we're giving hall more than 2MM, it's too much.

I'd expect 3M/yr....he's a starting CB in the NFL after all.
Anything under 2.5M would be awesome imo
I think Seattle brought him in just in case they couldn't get someone in the draft. He was just a fallback plan.
Yeah I hear ya, they got their guy at a cheap cost. It will be interesting to see what Seattle does next year with a lot of their core talent coming off their rookie contracts. They have two more years of Wilson on the cheap till he will/may command a big contract. I think he is making somewhere are 600K till then.

You could look at what the Seahawks paid in total last year for their QB play and say they got it on the cheap even when you include Flynn.

But where will D. Hall line up next year? There's still no guarantee that he'll be the opening day starter. Remember the same exact thing was done to Chris Cooley last season. They cut Cooley, brought him back later in the season for less money, and then placed him as the 3rd string TE. How do we know that Richard Crawford or E.J. Biggers aren't ahead of Hall on the depth chart now?

Common sense says Hall will be playing ahead of those two.

Returning the starting 22 is an accomplishment in this day and age of the NFL. When that team was also the division champ it speaks volumes. It speaks to the flat cap, the view the rest of the NFL has of our players as individuals, which in turn speaks to our coaching staff, and finally to our locker room and FO.

I would have been happy to see Hall walk at 8M this year, at 2+M he is a good value pick up. Certainly not a top tier guy, but when playing hard, and focused, he can produce at a good level.

I am amazed that other than Alexander, no other teams were willing to beat what a cash strapped Redskins organization was willing to pay players like Jackson, Davis and others. Not complaining, just looking at how mediocre players from the Ravens were sought and pursued, but our offensive talent (from a pretty potent offense) were shrugged at.

That is definitely good for us, as it means the draft can be about depth, and hidden gems, instead of gaping holes. Don't get me wrong, we definitely need secondary help, but you know that what we have will at least be competitive, and with good drafting positional battles should be competitive too.

Well said CRR, I still couldnt believe that the FO got Davis and Hall back. It maybe the case that over the years you hear people and players say that certain propects are willing to take less to play for a winner. I am not saying that we are as dominant as New England, but could the tide be turning???? We will see.

I think what Hall said on 106.7 the fan yesterday was very telling to how the players who are on the team feel about the locker room and the men that work for the Redskins.

Unless you were Joe Flacco, it just wasn't a good market for free agents this year. Some good front office management and a little luck left us very good shape this year.

Really excited about this year's draft. Most of Shanny's picks usually make the roster, which adds more intrigue to the off season.

He is making right about his production number now, so a good signing.
