Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
So where does everyone fall on the allegation against Kavanaugh, both on the political gamesmanship of the democrats and just on the concept of an allegation of misconduct from so long ago, (that doesn't involve clear and compelling evidence).
It seems to me as a extremely garrish political play, but do you all think it is a right move from Feinstein? |

I "remember" going to a concert at the Capital Center around 18-19, drinking at the concert, being able to drive to the TGIF by College park by myself, drinking more, provoking a group of marines (who i guess thankfully didn't whoop my ass), and somehow drove to my home near Andrews AFB(at the time) in a drunken state.

When is Enough ,Enough?
If at anytime in ones life - and i mean anytime- 15-21-75-105 you in anyway take advantage of or force yourself on a girl than you have absolutely no business being a figure of the law, let alone a Supreme Court justice. Should I have to even be pointing that out? So let them do their due diligence. After the travesty that was Merrick Garland- who to the best of my knowledge did not have any real skeletons in his closet - it is the least the God damned GOP could “suffer” through.

Trump Tax Hikes are Coming.................
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/trump-tax-hikes-coming-194457071.html Ya knew it wouldn't be long,.........bye -bye tax cuts!!! The Trump tax hikes are coming Rick Newman 7 hours ago President Trump’s biggest political win, so far, is the tax-cut legislation he signed into law late last year. But Trump is now taking action that is essentially a tax hike on American consumers, and will offset a portion of the tax cuts he has been crowing about for nine months. And in typical renegade fashion, Trump is dismissing political orthodoxy by daring to hit voters with new taxes just weeks before a crucial election. Trump now plans to impose 10% tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports, beginning Sept. 24. The tariff will rise to 25% by the end of the year. That’s in addition to a 25% tariff on $50 billion worth of Chinese imports Trump imposed during the summer. So by Election Day in November, Trump will have placed new tariffs on $250 billion worth of stuff Americans buy every day. A tariff is a tax collected when imported goods enter the country. It raises the cost of the good by the amount of the tariff. So a 10% tariff on a $100 product would raise its cost to $110. Producers typically try to pass the added cost onto consumers, and as the cost of certain imported goods rises, the cost of similar products not subject to tariffs can also rise, since there’s less competitive pressure pushing prices down. The new tariffs will raise the cost of thousands of everyday items, including electronics, appliances, bicycles, tires, toys, clothing and footwear. Based on last year’s level of imports, the new China tariffs amount to a tax hike of $32.5 billion per year. If the latest set of tariffs rises to 25% and stays in place for 2019, the total additional tax would be $62.5 billion next year. The Trump tax cuts, by contrast, lowered tax payments by about $130 billion per year. So by this simple math, the China tariffs would offset about one-fourth of the Trump tax cuts this year, and nearly one-half next year. |

How is she responsible for this? You sound like a guy who refers to rape as “a cuddle with a struggle”. We don’t know if it’s true and the timing is odd but sexual assault is so common these allegations shouldn’t be disregarded. I was a bit too young to young to remember the Thomas Anita Hill thing other than the dude had a hair in his soda. That always weirded me out.
While his friend watched, she said, Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed on her back and groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it. When she tried to scream, she said, he put his hand over her mouth. “I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” said Ford, now a 51-year-old research psychologist in northern California. “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.”
|

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/extraordinary-move-trump-declassifies-documents-related-russia-probe-n910486?cid=par-xfinity_20180918 President Trump, in a clear abuse of power, has decided to intervene in a pending law enforcement investigation by ordering the selective release of materials he believes are helpful to his defense team and thinks will advance a false narrative," Schiff said in a statement. The president has the authority to declassify any secret in the government, but experts could not recall a president doing so in a manner that seemed to leave aside any concerns raised by his own intelligence advisers. "This is certainly unprecedented," said Robert Litt, the former general counsel of the ODNI during the Obama administration. "Between the compromise of sources and methods, the impact on the willingness of people to cooperate, and the potential of selective release of classified material for partisan purposes, I think intelligence officials will find it very troubling." The FBI had no immediate comment. |

G one I would also reference her coming forward with this as early as 2012 to her therapist. I mean come on alot of kids/adults are taken advantage of and never come forward. On top of that SCJ is sort of a big deal so - no i dont think the timing is strange at all. Nor do i care. If it happened than he is done regardless of the timing.

As the Dad of three girls I without a doubt feel this is important.I have all so seen women use these types of allegations against people for a multitude of reasons, vindictiveness ,blackmail...and to save face and embarrassment. Is that what happen here,I don't know .You say she came out to her therapist in 2012 and maybe she did I don't know but this man has been going through this process for months now and now she comes out? Look I don't like the guy and I think he is a crappy jurist but this ....if not true ,well ,it should be criminal and if it is true he will face charges .

It would be a dumb move on their part. Also, even if he is impeached, he still isn't going anywhere (like Clinton). You aren't going to get the 67 Senate votes needed to be removed. Kavanaugh's accuser actually came out months ago, and even longer considering she's told the story to her husband, friends and therapist. Now, you can make the claim that Feinstein is making it political, but let's leave the accuser out of this. |

Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
So, I found this interesting, but not about winning or losing, and/or hypocrisy, so I figured I would dredge this thread up again:
The article that goes with it is fairly unremarkable, but what I found interesting is that Trump's approval ratings at this point in his presidency line up fairly evenly with non-wartime (non-JFK) presidencies LBJ and Obama - 46 Carter & Reagan - 42 Trump - 41 Clinton - 39 I think Nixon/Ford also are their own creature given the whole Vietnam/Resignation etc. The article tried to tie some House seat effect to the president's approval ratings, but for my eyes, it generally disproves that Obama's 46 was middle high and he lost the most seats for approvals in the 40's the range was from -15 to -63. With the Republicans only having a 20'ish seat margin, historically it's unimaginable that they will keep the House. If they do, it would be a testimony to the Democrats incompetence as much as the state of the Economy |

I find it amazing that a large mass of people, at Mexico's southern border, somehow is the US' responsibility.
These people have a country, a homeland, and right now, Mexico is not letting them pass. The democrats and media will use any emotional/historical lie to get power, and I hope that the voters see through their bs. |

The narratives being pushed are interesting. We had a president before who allowed genocide, the slaughter of tens of thousands, allowed terrorist organization to form and dig in who then attacked Americans and inspired terrorists attacks here at home and in Europe in the same region of the world...he did nothing. Liberals supported his inaction...and were ok with genocide and being attacked by terrorists. They seemed more worried about people getting mad at Muslims. Now suddenly the saudis kill one of their own...and now they are triggered. Yeah, I’m appalled and it’s terrible but I just don’t understand the anger at the president? How is he responsible? |

Do you know why this is important? 15 of 19. That's the number of 9/11 hijackers from Saudi Arabia. How many repercussions did SA face for their support of Al-Qaeda again? We literally went to 2 unnecessary wars because of those attacks. Meanwhile they faced NO GODDAMN PUNISHMENT for their roles because we need them. 3000 Americans dead and their families are told the country most responsible can't be held accountable. The US stepping back on this reaffirms that Saudi Arabia can enter a foreign country and brutally murder anyone and will face no repercussions from the one nation that can actually hold them accountable. It tells them they have the freedom to do whatever they want because of our reliance on them. But once again, money is more important than human life.
