This was a chance to do it right and a unique opportunity to rebrand a franchise. Maybe it will be but seems half assed.

I assume they are doing it on the today show with Craig Melvin as he is a team "Ambassador" and it has been national news, makes sense to me. I also manage a location at 20 rock, right above the studio there, I might have to go in that day, lol

he made a good point today .. the team (julie/wright etc) are trying. At least they are trying.

we are all collectively probably not an easy crowd to please and being instantly negative

Yea that's our Danny. Gotta come storming out of the gate for everything.

No matter what one thinks of the name change, it was done under duress and so not the greatest look for a franchise. Especially one with a long record of bad looks.

Seems to me an owner who had to be forced to change a name and is under more scrutiny than ever for various transgressions might just want to be a little more subtle and modest about this.

But hey, that's just me and 21st Century Hype is just that.

Hadn't seen the full thing. That's quite funny. I like that every body is starting to ease down with this whole thing.
The dye is cast now, might as well relax and see what comes. I'm over trying to guess if this was a misdirection and that was a slip off.

I just noticed that on the teams website for the video “making the brand” episode 3, it refers to “the people’s team.” Honestly, that would really be terrible. The people have been leaving this team in droves for the last 20+ years (except for idiots like us) and it’s an obvious, bad facsimile for America’s team (which is also presumptuous and easily hated). Please don’t do this - whatever the name and logo, don’t do this.

I hope they don't include that either but I think its a reference to the "people's house" aka the White house as well as tongue in cheek slight at the cowboys. Either way it's stupid.
