Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
It is time us fans start putting some pressure on Snyder and the organization. Enough of this sub par play year after year. We throw big money out and most of it is wasted. We pay their salaries we help keep this team afloat.
I wouldn't go that far. 13 points until that bullshit pass interference call on Horton isn't exactly a terrible Defensive effort. But yes, they didn't play well and what was especially alarming was Detroit's ability to run right up the gut on us. Didn't we upgrade the middle of the D line?
At one point in the game the Lions were 9-11 on 3rd down conversions. How the hell you let Stafford run for a 20 yard gain on 3rd and 13 or whatever it was? Are our linebackers that slow? Is he that fast? I dont think so. That PI on Horton was horrible. The facemask pentaly should have sticked and I saw more PI on the lions and offsides that weren't called. Saying that the defense still sucked and couldn't stop ish!! |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
fire Zorn and trade anyone you can for draft picks and release the rest. bring in free agents for the rest of the games and start over next year.

Get out the pitch forks and torches!!!HAHA

You must have blocked out the 90's.
At least when Norv Turner was here we had no problems scoring points. We just couldn't stop anybody. |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
Wow Jansen is on Comcast gloating big time. He said this win couldn't have come against a better team.

I absolutely agree. How is it that so much attention (AH, Orakpo, resigning Hall, supplementary draft-Jarmon) is given to the defense, and Blache continually gets a pass? We don't draft o-linemen and everybody gets on Zorn, some with good reason, some is BS. Portis couldn't get 1 yard for the TD? And Blache with all this talent can't get off the F'in field and makes a rookie QB look like all-pro. |

Blache is garbage!! If he said that sacks are overated he should get fired for sheer stupidity. |

I hope they fire his ass this week!! When you spend $153 mil on 2 FA players and they don't produce or put pressure like everyone thought they would and we get killed on 3rd down conversions, then the DC gets canned. |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
It would be kind of cool if Snyder fired Cerrato, Zorn and Blache and then released a handful of marginal players just for added emphasis.
Just to make a little statement. Then he could hire himself as the head coach and he could wear a big Napoleon hat on the sidelines. |

Add to that the freaking CBs are still playing ten yards off and "The Orakpo Experiment" has failed. Put him on the freaking D-line idiot!!! He is liek a stubborn old man. |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
do you think zorn has lost the lockerroom?

Agreed. Everyone bitches about free agent acquisitions and blah blah blah, but no one is like...hmmm maybe we have sorry ass coaches that can't use these players. |

Hopefully he's like a young Gregg Williams. |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
I'm pretty sure if Zorn was crying in the locker room that would be one step closer to him losing the team. Mainly because as a player, if your coach, your leader, is crying in the locker room what kind of confidence does that instill in you that you have the right guy leading you? If I ever saw my boss crying after a bad day or something I would be definitely questioning whether or not he's the right guy for the job.

You obviously have never lost a high school playoff game :D |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
Our defense is getting carved up in the secondary and we still can't get pressure on the QB. We got down by 10 points early do the defense could not get off the field on 3rd downs. Dumb off sides penalty by Golston on the 1 yard line he gives the Lions yards. We could not score on 4th down and we had them on the 1 yard line they go 99 yards and score. Wow our defense laid down early in the game.

Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
All that Blache does is makes excuses as to why the offense looked so good. They are a good team according to him and they have only lost 2 games with the "new" team. I really am really starting to hate him and miss Greg Williams big time

Who here thinks besides me and the other guy earlier, that Zorn was crying in the locker room? I mean either that or he fell into a huge pile of onions. |

Right thanks Jerry Gray was a Rams CB in the day. |

Nope :). I really hope a player would come out and confirm that he was crying. IMO Zorn is losing the locker room if he hasn't lost it already. |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
Still go back to opening drive could not punch it in, came away with no points. Lions go 99 yards for a TD. Moss face mask penalty they over turned. Horton pass interference call do to know pass rush. These plays hurt us big time.

Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
Dude if he was crying that's because he sees us pissing away our season thus far. Can anyone say that for many years we have neglected our O-Line and it really shows. The defense has soft corner other than Smoot who throws his body all over the field.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
As dissapointed and pissed as I am, I can never give up on this team. The trials and tribulations of being a Die Hard fan!

Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread
To add insult to injury the Packers scored 36 points on the Rams today.

Oh I know they drafted a bunch of Receivers. |

~~~~~~~ Our neglect of the O Line is definitely showing. If Cerrato and Snyder cannot see that then they are dumber than I thought. |
Right. Zorn obviously thought we could get one yard but if we couldn't, there was no way the Lions would go 99 yards on us. They would punt and we'd get the ball back. I don't think that's unreasonable, but apparently anything is possible with this defense. |
