FEMA is just as bad if not worse under Obama. I have a customer due to pryor losses has to buy flood insurance directly through FEMA. His house next door has the flood ins policy through our company which administers the policy for FEMA. Last year both house flooded and the flood plolicy handled through my company was paid in 4 weeks (delayed two of those weeks by FEMA) and the other home insured directly through FEMA/National Flood Program took 6 months to get his first check and then an additional moth to get the remaining balance. When other areas in our area have flooded people have waited month after month to get any response from FEMA but thats long after the news crews have gone home and moved on.

As for the bolded section. I know first hand about what people go through in a loss because I deal with it everyday. I'm actually in the business. My point was all Obama has done is signed off on spending money something he is good at doing (see the 5 trillion he has spent). I never said it was wrong.

Right now I predict that this election will either be a close win for Obama or a landslide for Romney. Either way it'll be interesting to see if poll skewing theories are viable.

RCP currently has it at 201 to 191 Obama. And right now Romney is more likely to win Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, and Colorado which are currently in the toss up cateogory.

This was all a said (see below) and at the time was the truth. I was pretty much joking about how Obama is really good at spending money. As for FEMA they might have people on the ground but it will take a long time before people start to see any checks from them. It does not matter who is in office FEMA sucks.

"Obama is doing what he knows how to do best. Hand out money. Other then that what has he done? What we will not see is the people waiting for their checks from FEMA 4 to 6 MONTHS from now if they are luck to get them then. FEMA is a nightmare."

I can tell you with certainty that Romney will not squeak out North Carolina. rather it will be as close to dark red as a swing state can get.

Virginia, you're closer to that area then me obviously so maybe you know better but everything I've read and heard from family and friends say it's going to be a Romney win.

Florida for better or worse has a large senior population that believes Obamacare is going to raid Medicare and full implementation will cause quality doctors to retire. Obviously Obamacare can't simply be overturned but with Obama reelected theres not even a chance of budget reconciliation.

Keep in mind I have great respect for the AHCA. It's the reason I'm insured today and the reason why I didn't have to wait to get covered when I got hired for my current job. And the most important thing is even if overturned it will force any bill passed in the future to have some sort of protection for people like me with preexisting conditions. With that said the bill is overkill and needs to be reigned in but I don't agree that it's the end of the world like the GOP will have you believe.

Back to poll skewing though. The reason I'm intrigued is apparently back in 2010 the models used mirrored the turnout of the 2008 election with a democratic advantage in states like Ohio around +8. During the midterms the turnout favored Republicans +1 despite polls sampling more Democrats.

Thats part of the reason I'm hedging my bets between Obama barely winning (in line with a decent amount of polls inside the margin of error) and a Romney landslide (that in retrospect would show polls oversampling Dems).

In the end it will be interesting to see if the concept of poll skewing is legit or just a GOP conspiracy theory.

I say Obama wins and its probably not all that close.

In 2008 Obama won North Carolina by a meager 14,000 votes. Even if Romney wins, the state is probably more purple than red. I don't just don't see a decisive victory there.

Romney does not in any way, shape, or form need PA to win. If (when) VA, NC, FL fall into the GOP column, the only remaining hope Obama has is OH...and even if by a miracle Obama steals Ohio, then if CO/WI/NH/NV or some combination of those fall GOP Romney can still win. It appears all eyes will be around the Great Lakes late on Nov. 6th.

Watch Rasmussen's polls, he's historically been one of, if not the most, accurate over the last 8 years.

Why thanks and the same back to you. AS far as how this will turn out no one at this point knows who going to win. Jobs numbers coming out tommorow will show a flat number around 158,000 new jobs but thats only enough to replace the jobs lost last month. That will not help Obama and now that I see people starting to beg for help from Sandy on the news that might over the next few days hurt Obama. Only time will tell.

When people fail they almost always want to find someone to blame other then themself. While I'm a business owner and not a supporter of Obama if he is re-elected my business will be just fine. I have grown almost every year sense 1994 even when others in my same business have lost business. If a business owner allows an administration or product pricing (within reason)to run them out of business then they probably should not own a business. I'm also speaking for the small business owner who alot of the federal regulations do not affect. I do know owners of larger businesses not hiring because of increased cost from health care and additional regulations but the business is still thriving. Most regulations like health care affect the employees more then the employer.

OP's, its for the maraton runners so keep your hands off their water and get back in line for that gas. These generators are for the Maraton. Yes police will deal with the looting after they are done with trafic control at the marathon. Sad.

A private club is footing the bill for the generators and water, but I think it's pretty god damn classless of them to do this at this time. I mean downright insensitive.
