Re: Coronavirus (political)
Can we please stop equating the choice of aborting and ending a life to the choice of injecting a foreign substance into your body?
That's apples to pineapples. They are no where near the same. Abortion involves ending the life of someone else without giving that person a choice. The other does not. The woman had her choice to not get fucked rawdog. It's not like getting pregnant randomly just happens to someone. If people don't want the vaccine they shouldn't have say anything else besides they don't want it. That's their choice to make their lives a living hell without having COVID and way more susceptible to death with it. |

Re: Coronavirus (political)
My biggest problem is not the relaxing of mandates it's that Americans are too stupid to figure out how to protect human health while having their freedom. Instead we have maxed out hospitals and people who die from basic routine surgery operations because there are no facilities available just because a subset of our population doesn't care if they get covid and spread it to others just to make a political point. 1 in 500 Americans have died due to covid? If our societal plan was to return to being a developing country congats we are on our way.

Agreed. People think their personal freedom trumps all. A pandemic is a problem that all of society has to deal with, so your selfish decision affects plenty of others. |
Lol…well the agenda aligned isn’t an anti-vax angle, it’s the government/media bullying of folks against a mandate. Yeah the whole "it's my choice to vaccinate" crowd is also the anti-vax, freedom loving, love the USA or gtfo crowd. Everybody else who doesn't have a valid reason trusts science and got the vaccine. But we can agree to disagree on this. |

But we can agree to disagree on this.
I was gonna let this go…but attempting to assign blame politically is an outright fail. The demographics data doesn’t support it…meanwhile the least vaccinated group voted 75% for Biden. Last latest polling this week has the majority against government mandates of vax. Also worth noting Biden claims he would shut down the virus. But we hit 40 million covid cases, of those since the inauguration he owns like 18 million…in eight months. |

People still have the choice to not get vaccinated. But as with anything there are consequences. But let's stop with the lame ass excuses like Minaj came up with.
It's the man's fault too. And if he wants an abortion he can kindly STFU. Don't want to be a dad and/or pay, don't have unprotected sex. It's a pretty simple problem to avoid. But the man has no say in the matter even if he wants to keep the baby. The woman has all the power. So as the person that solely gets to make the decision on abortion, women need to be smart about having sex if they aren't ready to be a mother. |

If I wasn't vaccinated already, I'd do it now to not be associated with her. |

Yeah we both know republicans don't love covid, the remaining unvaccinated ones (without a valid personal excuse) don't think personal freedom should be sacrificed to a disease with a 99% survival rate. |

Also, Sweden data of mortality rate of 100k…used to compare country to death rates…out of the top 40 worst, they rank 40. Us and uk 21 and 22. Weird how the media stop talking about Sweden since the beginning of year

Re: Coronavirus (political)
Shit is getting nasty in Northern Idaho. The rationing of care with the focus of providing services to those more likely to survive. What an awful position for the healthcare workers to be put in to have to make that decision. I am not familiar enough but does that mean if someone is on a ventilator but someone else comes into the hospital more likely to survive they would take that resource from the patient?

I saw that about Idaho. Also Vermont has more hospitalizations now than they did with the Winter surge…and they are the most vaccinated state in the country. This Delta variant is not joke. |

BREAKING: FDA panel votes against approving a Pfizer booster dose for COVID-19, weeks after President Joe Biden promised all Americans would be able to get boosters beginning in late September.
Looks like the data not there for a booster need. Heard the vote wasn’t close, but they stil may make 65 and older eligible with another vote. |

Another huge L for the media, this time the NYT (again and again). The lying media printing fake news again and again After The New York Times published an article about the use of ivermectin to combat COVID-19, claiming that 70% of recent calls to the Mississippi poison control center were related to ivermectin, they were corrected by an investigative journalist who pointed out that the real figure was 2%, not 70%. The journalist, Mary Beth Pfeiffer, tweeted, “I contacted @nytimes & they corrected 8/25 ivermectin article. ‘This article misstated the percentage of recent calls to the Mississippi poison control center related to ivermectin. It was 2 percent, not 70 percent,’ says appended note. Sentence removed. |

Fact checking is out the door my friend.
Listened to local radio station wbal this morning. The report is Maryland positivity rate is below 5% threshold. Supposed to be good news. We are doing well. I am not buying it at all I think fewer people are getting tested. Especially kids with quarantine protocols in schools and all |

It’s def in bad taste to run to a site like Reddit (which I find it humorous that people mad about Facebook but actively participate on Reddit which is ground zero for misinformation and conspiracy theories) and celebrate people dying from covid in a sexually gratification circle jerk.

That’s not normal but do you
Dang it's supposed to be sexually gratifying too? Shit, I missed that bit. Don't disagree with you on Reddit being grounds for misinformation and conspiracy theories (they do welcome all kinds - up until the media starts hearing about vote brigading and harassment - then they take action only to protect their bottom line) but I'm definitely not celebrating them dying. Just don't have any sympathy for them - if I want to go play in traffic because some bs study I made up shows that more people who play in traffic live than die - I have to be willing to accept the consequences of such actions.
