Re: Coronavirus (political)

I personally think the Herman Cain reddit thread is a negative energy thing, people posting and enjoying it are not "being the best human they can be" in that moment.

I didnt mention it for its morality but IM shocked at the type of people dying or in critical care bc of Covid.

These are average healthy people under 60. They are me. Going to a movie or restaurant, living life normal on Monday then in the ICU on Tuesday.

Its scary. I forgot the exact month I got my Pfizer but maybe april or may?

Is my shit wearing off?

Wish I had that Moderna. 100 (Moderna) to 30 (Pfizer) ratio in strength. Read pfizer watered theirs down for fears of side effects being trumpted as a reason to not take or bad PR.

Its shaking my perception it only is real deadly to old people or immuno compromised people.

The people dying now are you, your coworkers or the guy sitting next to you in car in traffic.

40-400 deaths a day in June for the US.

Now, its averaging 2k per day and its sky rocketing up.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/covid-cases.html

Its sky rocketing up in deaths .. and we have the vaccine.

Did you read the article or are you just promoting liberal division because it's appealing to your cause?

BLM has started protesting because there are allegations that restaurant hostess who got beat up used a slur and called their vaxx cards fake.

Personally - without being there and without having audio/video evidence of such a crime it's hard for me to pick a side.

They did - but because 38?% of black people in NYC aren't vaccinated (according to that article you posted).

It's unfortunate - I respect their position of not trusting a government vaccine due to historical animosity resulting from terrible events in our nation's history - but at the same time I disagree with it.

My point is they are speaking up now as a result of the fight between the restaurant hostess and the 3 people who have been arrested and charged. If those arrested and charged are making this up they stand to really inflame tensions between minorities and the government, or if the hostess really is a racist and denied them entry due to the color of their skin that is already increasing the tension. It's a lose-lose.

What solution are you proposing to increase the peace?

Wow. Just wow. So you are blaming Biden because Trump mishandled the virus for over a year by lying to the American people? Getting caught on tape admitting it was lethal while simultaneously telling us all that it was nothing more than a flu? Blaming Biden for Trump calling it a hoax, a flu, magically disappear and for not advocating for people to get their shots until after he said all that? Trump mismanaged the vaccine worse than his casinos and politicized it to the point of no return with swaths of his sheep. Lied to Americans in general and freaked out even people on the left but it is Bidens fault that people are hesitant now? Why dont you put up numbers of vaccination rates to see how Joe got the roll out rolling because Trump couldn’t even handle making sure room service got rolled out in the casinos? No you put up a chart of a virus that has exponential properties because you believe that Trump is actually responsible for the lower numbers during the earlier stages of a pandemic- hilarious. Of all the things in the Universe for you to come back with you chose the pandemic? You might actually not be as smart as I thought you were.

Oh and Chico Im gonna let you in on a little secret buddy, Trump didn’t create the vaccines, scientists did. And they would have regardless of the President. Because they would have given emergency authorization for anyone. Actually if Biden or anyone else besides trump was President it would have been faster. They would not have tried to hide it from us like China and Trump did.
Remember when he dismantled the pandemic response team? Weren’t gonna need that dipshit Don….

Remember when he thanked China for their transparency?

I could go on and on with reasons why your post is the most laughable post in the history of this forum. It’s Saturday. Just lemme know if you wanna go on about the pandemic and the two presidents handling of their unique situations. Trump could have been re-elected if not for his idiocy in handling the pandemic. Biden did awesome considering when Trump left there was no plan for a rollout and had already convinced 40 percent of the country that this was a hoax. Lemme know. We can talk about this all day as long as you’re honest with yourself and others on this board. Otherwise just post shit like ya did on q anon’s board.

To be honest with yourself and others first take a deep breath, maybe a bong rip. I suggest a nice Sativa so u can get shit done and realize that before Biden took over and actually got the vaccine jam rolling that Trump had already tainted most of the unvaccinated in this country with his lies and tweets and nonsense. So Biden can lead those people with tainted ideas (because obviously Trump wanted this to go away until after the election- could have actually turned it into a victory lap but he was too short sighted) to water but he cant make em drink. It is super important you understand the nuances of it all before you start discussing.

Not Bidens biggest fan for everyone on here. Not at all. I think he is a bit of a pussy. I think he listens to too many “hunches” instead of experts. But he had probably one of the most difficult transitions of all time from one admin to the next. His predecessor basically made it as hard as possible to get shit done in the preparation stage - i mean he was a tad bit childish about his loss you could say. He created a bit of a divisive climate in this country to say the least. Regardless though I still think he could do better in areas obviously. That being said I wont be waving his name all over the place like he is bigger than us or the country, and I certainly will not be defending him in such a ridiculous way as to be saying something like he handled a withdrawal from a hostile country better than the next guy at any point ever on this forum or out my mouth period. Chico on the other hand has just done exactly that with Trump. And Trumps actions during the early months / year of this pandemic cost more Americans their lives than hundreds of Afghanistan withdrawals. It is one of the single most disgraceful lies ever told the American people and the world and his deep and misguided quest to stay in power resulted in thousands of lost lives and did severe damage to the economy. He comes clean and leaves this pandemic in the hands of experts in its infancy and lives and the economy and the world are in a better place today without a shadow of a doubt. But his narcissism (i can do better than the doctors and scientists in communicating things to Americans) and his greed (trying to hide it for political purposes) ruined any chance of that.

Let’s be honest, the first 8 months has been a disaster on multiple fronts. Covid, Afghanistan, inflation, economy…he continues to divide the country as he appeases to blue parts of the country, he hasn’t brought anyone together.

The biggest mistakes Joe made on Covid was the JJ pause…look at the data on a vaccine rates line graph..they dropped immediately after he paused it…that’s a direct reason so many didn’t get vaccinated. Also with the delta variant, at home testing should have been the strategy, but path was never forged. The Monoclonal Antidbody treatment of covid should have been at the forefront of federal strategy…(which was embraced by Desantis) but was never taken seriously by the administration. There were many options for Biden administration..acting like they weren’t is lazy and incompetent.

Re: Coronavirus (political)

A community in Virginia left reeling after a 10-year-old girl died of coronavirus complications has now been hit with another shock: The girl’s parents say her teacher willfully exposed her to the virus by tasking her with escorting sick students.

Authorities at Suffolk Public Schools are now investigating that claim. Anthonette Ward, a spokesperson for the school district, told The Virginian-Pilot that, if true, the move would be a violation of school policy. The school has a rule in place for only adults to walk children with COVID-19 symptoms to the nurse’s office, she said.

Teresa Sperry, a fifth-grader at Hillpoint Elementary School, died last week, just five days after she first began experiencing a headache. The family was notified by health officials that she had tested positive for COVID two days after her death, according to the Pilot.

Her parents have said they followed all safety measures to protect Teresa from the virus, even driving their kids to school to limit their potential exposure to COVID on the school bus.

Jeff Sperry said Teresa “was happy, she was healthy and strong, and it took her in less than five days.”

I’m gonna make a bold prediction that as vaccination levels kinda peak at their highest levels and boosters are available to those who want them…to go along with the extremely contagious delta care spread which now appears to be bottoming out and those who weren’t vaccinated (resistant to getting it) caught it and now have natural immunity antibodies…this will work together to suppress cases numbers for the next 8-10 months, and will we’ll see major reduction in spread.

A Maryland man is accused of fatally shooting his pharmacist brother who he believed was poisoning people by giving them the COVID-19 vaccine.

Jeffrey Allen Burnham, 46, is accused of killing his older brother, Brian Robinette, 58, and his wife, Kelly Sue Robinette, 57, on September 30.

Burnham told his mother, Evelyn Robinette, that he was going to confront his brother because of his profession and his hunch that Brian Robinette was administering what he believed to be "poisonous" COVID-19 vaccines to people, court documents showed.

Evelyn Robinette told law enforcement that Burnham repeatedly said, "Brian knows something." She said she called the Cumberland Police Department on September 29 because Burnham kept making statements to her about the FBI "coming after" him, which made her fear for his mental stability, the court filing showed.

Law enforcement found the Robinettes' bodies in their home in Ellicott City, Maryland. Both appeared to have been shot multiple times. The court filing also said that the police found an empty box for a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun at Burnham's home.

Wasnt temporary holds for people owning guns showing a emergency mental health crisis a thing Trump and Ds were pushing for?

Evelyn Robinette told law enforcement that Burnham repeatedly said, "Brian knows something." She said she called the Cumberland Police Department on September 29 because Burnham kept making statements to her about the FBI "coming after" him, which made her fear for his mental stability, the court filing showed.

Law enforcement found the Robinettes' bodies in their home in Ellicott City, Maryland. Both appeared to have been shot multiple times. The court filing also said that the police found an empty box for a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun at Burnham's home.

Thats close to home.

Wasnt temporary holds for people owning guns showing a emergency mental health crisis a thing Trump and Ds were pushing for?

This seems to check the boxes.

Mom calls police saying son is acting crazy threatening his brother on September 29 ... I dont know what police did or didnt do but this guy then kills people he threatened with a gun everyone knew he had.
This is where I think progressives really screwed up with defund the police. They used the term to be antagonistic instead of being more pragmatic in reform. If FBI and police had greater mental health professionals either working for or collaborating with many of these situations can be resolved. While they have some training they are not equipped to be proactive in regards to mental health warning signs and instead reactive. I am not saying it would have prevented this, it but having individuals involved with mental health generally do lower the impact of violent crimes.

Side note but related: I have never understood that when a loved one is killed drunk driver, homicide etc. The first person knocking on your door is a police officer and not a social worker or therapist.
