With the shit our country is going through and about to go through, they should be spending 0% of their time on this. They have bigger fish to fry and anything short of dealing with the real issues is a slap in the face to the constituents.

I really don't think it's that big a deal. They deal with hundreds of issues, big and small, all the time. This is like that dumb argument every time an athlete tweets something, or goes to a movie, or whatever. "Hey, why aren't you lifting weights?? Studying your playbook?!!"

Honestly I was thinking about this earlier today as during my afternoon coffee break I like to search Google News for Redskins stories on my phone, which of course was FILLED with freaking stories about the 50 senators wanting the name change (way to focus on net neutrality guys), and then it hit me.

Snyder actually might be the type of guy to take PETA's suggestion and change the teams mascot to a potato just to spite everyone. Nothing against dealing with small issues, just stupid ones. An athlete can do whatever he wants on his own time, and if a congressman wants to voice his opinion on the Redskins name on his own time than have at it. I just cannot fathom them discussing such a trivial thing on the job with all the crap going on in the world. Whatevs though.

Definitely agree. Just vote these idiots out of office so we can get some, hopefully, sane congressmen/women in to do a better job on real issues.
