I said this awhile back when the name change issue was a hot button topic. If the name changes, which I hope it doesn't, make it the Washington Pigskins. Very similar to Redskins, has a football meaning, and hopefully will only piss off the American Pig Farmers Union which doesn't have as big a lobbying presence in Congress.

I just think it would be a big FU to everyone if the team doesn't have a name. Without a new team name, every fan and the public would continue to call the team Redskins, yet officially the team would not have a name so the media can refer to the team as Washington (which many already do).

washington pigskins ... i like it. a lot. probably doesnt fit the DC demographic and might distance some religious people but i like it.

Because many people find the team name offensive, The Washington Redskins have changed it. From now on, the team will be simply known as The Redskins.

I always liked the Washington White Tips. (the shark)
Have a moderately looking aggressive shark logo on the helmet.
Change the colors to red white and blue. (we are the nations capitol after all)
Blue shark, white tips on the fins, red mouth.....
Have fins run down the piping on the pants like the Seahawks.
