Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Agree with you . Not may young corers are going to look good without decent play at Safety , or a pass rush .
Breeland looked like a baller, but I agree with you as a generalization. |
I still don't understand how he dropped off so hard. Couple years ago he looked like he had some mad potential and then last year it was like he failed to show up at all.
Last year at the beginning of the season a lot of people on the radio were saying Amerson had Fred Davis type distractions. Haven't heard any reference to Davis type issues and Amerson since though, even with the game he sat out. He has a ton of talent but his head doesn't seem to be in the game. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Maybe Amerson's problems were losing D Hall and having a revolving door at both S/SS spots ? We also had very little pass rush , that being said , maybe changes to the coaching staff and upgrades on the DLine will help Amerson improve .

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
We will find out about Amerson this year, after Deion Sanders called him out at the combine.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
I don't like Amerson's make-up. I don't think he has the burning desire to be a great football player like McC talks about.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
With so much added emphasis on the run in the NFC East I think we should sign Brandon Spikes or take Rolando McClain from Dallas. Both are better than Perry Riley. Also I would sign Greg Hardy to a one year "prove it" deal. We now have enough depth to handle what ever suspension he may get.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Riley is fine against the run.
A TE running a seam route however ... |

A TE running a seam route however ...
We went from one ILB that couldn't cover to another ILB who can't cover. I'd much rather have a ILB who is so/so at run coverage and better at pass coverage than one who balls out at run coverage and is the invisible man when the ball's in the air. |

He'd be a nice pick up for us with Reed being so fragile. We need a traditional TE that has better skills than Paulsen. |

Agree,We need a better blocking TE, Paulson sucked being that guy last year. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
How about Housler, Fasano? Are they good blocking TE's?
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Fasano signed a two year deal somewhere

stats do not lie, Mays had 7 tackles, and 2 assists in 16 games |
