Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I think thats the whole point. I think the test is more or less trying to see if Albert even has the dedication to ATTEMPT to pass. From what i heard he almost made it the last time, so maybe they will let up and let him practice.
BUT, if he keeps on with this not trying stuff....then they should cut his ass
If he has so little heart or loyalty that he won't do this thing.....GET THE F... RID OF HIM BTW, I don't anybody believes that he IS in "football" shape if he can run a couple of shuttles. I think the point is, if he CANNOT, that he is not even close and no point in going further? |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Ok, you are completely making something out of nothing. Why can't you just see things for what they are? Why does everything have to be a conspiracy or someone playing games and whatnot? Ok, we get it that you don't like AH, neither do I and a lot of people. But that doesn't mean you get to make stuff up. Like I said, I wish people would just stop complaining about this and discuss other things that are more relevant and important, rather than coming up with conspiracy theories and crap.
Are you sure you replied to the right post? I got that statement right from Shanahan's mouth (CSN Sportsnite interview specifically). What exactly did I make up? Shanny said he may let him practice without passing the test. It's no conspiracy theory. I have no huge problem with AH, far less than others on here. I want him to get his act together and play...it's better for the team. Just look at the post before this one. :D |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Judging by comments from Matt Bowen and Jeff Fisher, these shuttle runs are pretty much standard across the league. I'm going to guess that more than half of the DTs in the league could do this without a problem, on the first try.
By the way, I've never been a fan of the term "football shape." It reminds me of Bobby Knight trying to understand "game face." That said, *anyone* in the league should be able to do this IMO. If you can't run 300 yards, then you can't play an entire game of football IMO. When did running at football practice become taboo?
Great post |

Before he could take the field, he first completed what previously was considered a mundane conditioning drill until Redskins coach Mike Shanahan and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth butted heads this week. Even Suh referred to it as "the Haynesworth Test." It required running 25-yard sprints six times. Suh, below, passed, running it in 65 seconds one time and 67 seconds the other. |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Well.........he has his place in history. Provocateur of the vaunted Haynesworth Test..........

Could a simple apology get AH back on the field? |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
i wonder what his true weight is right now compared to his true playing weight last season
|
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
He's around 320 vs. 350 last year
|
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
that's what the redskins are saying? 320?
|
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Not sure if the team has said anything official, since he wasn't here in the offseason when they do the weigh ins for the season. But he was 350 at this time last year, he claims to have lost about 30 lbs, and he passes the eyeball test for someone in the 320 range.
|
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
i'm not very good at the guess my weight game. i suppose i could buy 320. i hope he didn't lose much power along with that weight.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I for one think AH is gonna kill it this year. If he can just get past this god forsaken test.
