I was going to get on you about the Rainey comment but then I got distracted with something else, and never got around to it. Consider this post me jumping down your throat!!!
By That, do you mean a useless waste of roster spot?
Ha, no. I just mean that if he makes the final roster it will only be if he can show he can be a playmaker on offense. He's here to be a camp body QB but he won't make the final roster as a QB...barring something totally unexpected.

I looked White up. He hasn't really played football since Sept 2010. He signed a minor league contract with the Royals, and washed out. Signed with an Arena league team in 2012. Couldn't find out if he actually played.

This is a minor move by all accounts. Smoot made references to him taking Bank's spot, but I don't see where that is possible. He ran a 4.50+ at the combine in 2009.

I forgot he was suing the league.

It's interesting (and funny) that now that Pat White is on the verge of being on another NFL roster that he suddenly drops a lawsuit that alleged that he was left with memory issues and speech problems from a hit he took a few years ago. If that was the case, how would he expect to be cleared to play? It's shame, because of all the former players out there who are truly suffering, you have money-grab guys like White who are diluting these lawsuits. Over 4,000 players are suing the NFL over past injuries right now. Sad to think that many of them are just piggybacking to get a handout when there is real suffering going on.

I was kinda hoping we looked harder in the draft for a Pat White-type-hoping-to-be-playmaker. I still hope we do, but 1% this guy makes the roster.

Mike Greenberg was completely off this morning, he said pat white means that kirk will b traded. Or basically saying he should be

I agree with Chico' and 'ok. If there is interest in Cousins, look into it. No need to have two different types of QBs on the roster.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II

You keep Cousins because he has shown he can be handle step in pressure situations and he is cheap. Why would you trade that when your superstar qb has yet to complete a full season healthy.

Vick is not Griffin, but the Eagles would have been in a much better place, knowing Vick is going to miss 3 games, and having a backup who is capable to lead them to wins. Look at when Roethlisberger missed the 1st 4 games of a season, the Steelers had their backup come in and go 3-1.

It is ok to have quality players as depth on an NFL team, even if it's not the VC Skins way.

So if Griffins knee is not ready until October/November you would start Pat White?
C'mon man......

No guarantees White even makes the team.

Cousins isn't going anywhere.
Its a gimmick offense that works.

Some fine tuning here and there and there's really nothing wrong with the offense we have now.

Well said, couldn't of said it better myself.
