Well I had a family emergency and spent the day traveling from SC to WV and had not been updated on FA Redskins news.

He's coming in today for his visit, probably why it's on the crawl today

Who knows. I wouldn't rule him out yet, but we're bringing in LJ...FWP was going to be visiting KC today, but they just signed Thomas Jones and the Bucs are publicly denying they were interested in him.

He's still homeless and unloved. :D

does anyone know where i can find information regarding roster bonuses due to players? ive looked and didnt find anything cumulative.

if not, i guess id have to go to each teams salary sheet and tally them up myself.

it seems allen was right when he said player cuts are going to be spread out over time and not all at once. if a player has a roster bonus due, that seems to be the major reason players are gettign cut. maybe some good candidates we might want to consider may be cut over the next few weeks.

I think that if the Redskins decide they like LJ he will be here... at a Discount. He is a huge Skins fan from DC and really wants to be here.

Def wouldn't say everything is ok. Mom was a victum of a home invasion. She lives alone. We are about 58 miles outside of DC in WV. So it was scary as hell as I am not around here. She will be ok. It's just there are very strange circumstances surrounding what happened and I am trying to piece together the situation, as are the police. So we have a long road to recovery and I am unsure how long the pyschological damage will last.

1st things first is we have to determine the perp and get him off the streets. Then determine the motive behind what he did and if he actually acted alone or was paid to do so.

Sorry to highjack the thread just needed to vent a minute.

Whoa. Serious stuff sir, really hope you and your mom get to the bottom, and more importantly regain a sense of peace in your life. That sort of invasion steals a lot!

I'd rather have Willie than Larry Johnson, simply because ones a head case and more of a bruising type back, where as willie is the fast speed/slashing type back, more for Shanny's offense IMO.

GTripp0012 03-11-2010 02:02 PM

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

Interesting decision between a guy who is probably done (Johnson) but was once awesome and a guy who was never really that good (Parker) and will be done soon. I'd have to imagine a UDFA would be more productive.

I wonder what they talk about in those meetings. If they're not working the player out, I'm not sure what type of question they are asking that is helping them measure up the players against each other.

Wow scary stuff, my prayers are with.

My current neighbor she is like 50 something and she has a college age daughter. A year before I moved there someone broke into their home (during the day no one was home) and took all the photos of her daughter arranged them on her bed and proceeded to ejaculate all over them. They did nothing else to the house, now that will mess with your mind!

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

I could care less if LJ is a skins fan or not. He is another pain in the behind RB with an attitude, with an IQ comparable to a tube sock. Why in the world bring him in? This move makes no sense, and I am really starting to question the notion that our F.O. knows all and that all their moves are "in the best interests" of the team, and are unquestionably the right moves. I am really hoping that this meeting, is just that, a meeting, and absolutely nothing more. No more projects Allenahan, start making some moves for players that are gonna help this team, and that are viable options at their respective positions. No more back-up, Problem child, aging HAS BEENS.

This might just be a favor to LJ's agent (who I believe is also Haslett's agent). It could be to pressure someone like Parker. It could be just a general visit. Or the Redskins could have legit interest in him. Who really knows?

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

I just realized something, the saints just lost they're starting OLB to FA, and they cut they're starting DE. NO's Defense is run by Gregg Williams whom brought in Andre Carter and Rocky McIntosh. We are switching to a 3-4 Defense which Andre Carter has already said he doesn't fit in, and many believe Rocky would be too small for the project ILB position. Could I be sensing a trade here that would send Rocky and Andre to the saints for a few draft picks, like a 2nd and 6th rounder? Sure Rocky's been tendered for a 3rd, and we don't exactly know what we could get for andre, but I think if you put the two together we could be getting those picks, or similar picks.

As long as we're talking about high-mileage backs around the 30 year old mark, why not just sign LT? I think LJ, LT, and Parker are all just about done, but if we're insistent on signing a back like that, why not one of best and classiest guys around? LJ is a grade A douche, but I'd still take him over Parker. For the record I don't want any of the three, just saying.

Brian Westbrook is also out there

GTripp0012 03-11-2010 03:32 PM

Westbrook still has considerable value as a player, as long as you can tolerate his career being over as soon as he takes an awkward hit to the side of the head.

Jahvid Best is seemingly in the same both though. They are both excellent players.

correct me if I'm wrong, LJ hasn't had many injuries & has a lot less mileage on him, in part due to his poor practice habits & mouth.

Out of all these old RBs he seems the most likely to rebound & be a feature back. That is if he can keep from calling his coach names, gay slurs, etc.

LOL, it is actually a really nice dog. She told me that the intruder probably distracted the dog with a treat or something to that effect. Most likely it was someone they knew that did it but was never proven.

I almost want to say that I hope LJ does for us what Thomas Jones did for the Jets, but then I remember that our offensive line is nowhere near at the level of the Jets' line.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread

Yeah... and like he said, they're already a successful, winning franchise. Foote's got a much better shot of playing in a superbowl with them than he does with us. It'll be 3-4 years before we get to that level.

At this point, he's on my hate list. he'd have to eat quite a bit of crow to sign anywhere else at this point.

Dont look for them to maintain that success without Warner, he was the difference maker for that team. Matt Leinart will be the man now and I'm not impressed. We may get to the SB again before they do.

Neither team has a proven, starting QB, so its not like we have any sort of advantage there. They also benefit from offensive and defensive systems that have been in place for several years. Overall, our team has FAR more holes than thiers does. Of each team's 22 starters, i'd say atleast 75% are more talented than what we've got here. yeah, we'll address some positions in the draft, but so will they.
