He's not supposed to throw it to them, he should throw it to the receiver running past the 1st down marker.
Don't bother dude, this guy is a Cowboys fan. I've given up arguing with him. |
Re: Campbell's numbers dont lie
Quit saying I'm a cowboys fan. Even when the day comes that I quit watching the Skins, (Surprisingly that day hasn't come yet), I would never pick them as my next team to root for. I'm more of a colts fan after the skins

You want the Redskins to fail, to me you're a Cowboys fan. |

A Colt fan, he became a Colt Brennan fan after he started to date Jessica Simpson, just like his team's QB Romo. |

If she was dating Colt wouldn't she be bashing Campbell because she wants her BF to start? lol |

Ah good point...except that they were calling for the team to draft Tebow. Good guess though, but this person has the logic of a Cowboys fan. |

Yeah I guess Jessica Simpson does have more logic than a Cowgirls fan. Good point!! Or either she is eyeing Tebow as her next victim..lol Where did the Cowboys fan go? He must have went back to the Cowboys forum. |
Re: Campbell's numbers dont lie
Getting back to JC...I think was probably the worst game he plays all season and I expect he takes off from here. I think Jason's getting into the mindset where he can take over games...I still love this kid.

Yeah I think this game is going to be the game that is instrumental in his career for the simple fact that. He threw 2 ints and came back and threw 2 tds to deliver us from a potential loss. In those terms he is a leader. Because he could have simply dropped his head and let the ints hurt his confidence the whole game. Seems like he is getting more into that gunslinger mentality and not afraid to make mistakes and come back and make a good play. That is a good sign!! Few people will see it. But this game might just give him the boost he needs and the defense got a boost too. People say Cutler this Cutler that. But he was given the green light since day one. JC had only been given the yellow light so to speak. But now its seems like Zorn is throwing caution in the wind and letting JC take more chances and one thing I like about Zorn is. He got balls. He will go for it on 4 down and not give a flying fig what anyone thinks. That has to show the players he has some confidence in them and also in Campbell. That may be hard for some people to fathom. |
Re: Campbell's numbers dont lie
He had a bad half. I'm not worried about it. I was happy he brought us back from 10 down. He made some big plays w/ his legs. But he is what he is....average. But our wr's need to stop playing like little bitches. Outside of Moss and Cooley we have NO ONE that can get open.

Re: Campbell's numbers dont lie
No, two bad halves and one throw to Moss after he beat his man on a double move. He was not seeing the field at all. I have no idea what was happening downfield without the All-22, but it is obvious that the guy is not making quick decisions, has no timing to his game, and is unable to get a clear picture of the defenses he is seeing. That Tampa team was the worst pass defense in the NFL coming into this game. It is also a complete fallacy to think that this was the first poor game that Campbell has had this year. He has had these problems seeing the field all year, it just showed up more blatantly in the stat line today.
I think you're making a lot of generalizations to try to fit a games-worth of evidence into a single neat storyline, and it's costing you some accuracy. On the whole, you're right, Campbell wasn't really diagnosing coverages most of the game, and it led to a bunch of errors. But not all of Campbell's errors fit into this blanket critique.
A lot of his problems in this game were just due to plain old inaccuracy with the football. And the statistics suggest that he was one of the most accurate passers in the league last year. So that screams aberration. He was also somewhat indecisive with the football at points where he stepped up in the pocket, and that's the thing he corrected in the second half. He made his decisions much quicker in the second half than the first. Which is what he needs to be doing. And no, I simply don't agree that you can extend these mistakes back to the first two games of the season. Agreed on the poor quality of the Tampa pass defense, but if you're just going to be a revisionist, then we can't be friends. The context is absolutely critical. We've seen Campbell look bad for two-game stretches before, and put together darn good years overall. So in conclusion, though I feel like a lot of your criticisms are legit, the "I've seen enough" attitude is peculiar at best. |
