Lot's of long weeks around these parts.

That's the route. I'm gonna get drunk and find an old Leslie Nielsen movie to watch.
So you think the Critical Race Theory is right (it is a hypothesis). Racism is baked into the United States (In other words it can't be fixed)? You reject MLK's beliefs (CRT does)? Under the US due to how it was created, all white people are oppressors and all minorities are victims? Due to how the US was created Whites (as a group) will always come out ahead of any minority group? The later btw is what disproves the CRT hypothosis.

You believe those things?
Sounds like someone read the Rights Guide to CRT lol. Old tired nonsense. That is all such old tired nonsense.

You actually don't know what CRT is. I decided to post a source sympathetic to/supportive of CRT and bolded the areas that I raised in my previous post

This is an explanation from the American Bar Association
https://www.americanbar.org/groups/crsj/publications/human_rights_magazine_home/civil-rights-reimagining-policing/a-lesson-on-critical-race-theory/

Principles of the CRT Practice
While recognizing the evolving and malleable nature of CRT, scholar Khiara Bridges outlines a few key tenets of CRT, including:

Recognition that race is not biologically real but is socially constructed and socially significant. It recognizes that science (as demonstrated in the Human Genome Project) refutes the idea of biological racial differences. According to scholars Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic, race is the product of social thought and is not connected to biological reality.

Acknowledgement that racism is a normal feature of society and is embedded within systems and institutions, like the legal system, that replicate racial inequality. This dismisses the idea that racist incidents are aberrations but instead are manifestations of structural and systemic racism.
Rejection of popular understandings about racism, such as arguments that confine racism to a few “bad apples.” CRT recognizes that racism is codified in law, embedded in structures, and woven into public policy.

CRT rejects claims of meritocracy or “colorblindness.” CRT recognizes that it is the systemic nature of racism that bears primary responsibility for reproducing racial inequality.

Recognition of the relevance of people’s everyday lives to scholarship. This includes embracing the lived experiences of people of color, including those preserved through storytelling, and rejecting deficit-informed research that excludes the epistemologies of people of color.....

.....CRT transcends a Black/white racial binary and recognizes that racism has impacted the experiences of various people of color, including Latinx, Native Americans, and Asian Americans. As a result, different branches, including LatCrit, TribalCrit, and AsianCRT have emerged from CRT. These different branches seek to examine specific experiences of oppression.

McConnell gets credit for nothing. He is the biggest partisan hack in Congress. Even he knew he had to get on board with this. He literally couldn’t see over the stack of shit on his desk he was ignoring anymore.

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/08/why-did-mitch-mcconnell-give-joe-biden-infrastructure-win

“It’s a sleight of hand that allows McConnell to claim credit for the uncontroversial investments in roads and bridges, while positioning himself as the adult in the room trying to keep his intemperate counterparts in line. But it’s not true: Democrats may have gone it alone on “soft infrastructure,” but the proposals are no more extremist than their efforts to protect Americans’ voting rights or to seek accountability for the January 6 attack on Capitol Hill, each of which McConnell and the Senate GOP have blocked. The lack of bipartisan unity on those and other Democratic priorities does not reflect how “radical” Biden is, as the minority leader has suggested. It reflects how radical much of the GOP remains.”

Anyone who says they don’t see color is lying.

The black tax in professional settings is real.

We all consciously and sub consciously make instantaneous opinions on others. Color of skin, age, clothing, what part of town we are in, type of car they are driving, hat or nicely combed hair …. Skin color is a big part of many factors we instantaneously analyze when we see someone.

A white person saying they didn’t have a minor pause when a black doctor walks into the room is lying.

A black person saying they didn’t have a minor pause when a black doctor walks into the room is lying.

Race and prejudice are natural human thoughts and feelings.

Before you neo conservatives get your feelings hurt … I think black people also pre judge and hold prejudices

The point is that in policy, hiring - everything for that matter, CRT rejects color blindness and meritocracy. That is the point of the theory and why it differs from and rejects the goals of the Civil Rights movement. It embraces racial identity, segregation and collective guilt. Until the Jack-ass got involved even most liberals didn't support it. Once he started attacking it those Trump anti-bodies took control and suddenly it was something to be embraced and defended.

McConnel, Sinema and Manchin and 7 other Senators were the ones that crafted the bill. The administration crafted their own Bill earlier but that was rejected. Of course Biden will get some political credit out of this and it is the first Bi-partisan legislation since Bush left office so that will be a plus for him, but it is still readily apparent that Biden is one of the worst Presidents the US has ever had (and yes Trump was even worse - which is why I voted for Biden).

Yep but Sullivan was extremely critical of CRT in that article as well. Of course Trump and other elements are using it for political purposes but the reason he can is that it was being used in areas to guide policy - if it hadn't been there wouldn't have been anything for him to grab onto. And when he decided to use it this way the support for this excretable theory suddenly materialized by many on the left.

And good for you that you have a half black/half white child - so do I (mine is a college sophomore).

"CRT doesn't exist" - that's your takeaway from this?

Fuck.

Literally nobody is saying CRT isn't real. We're saying you're fucking stupid if you think it's being prioritized on your kids in grade school.

Just out of curiosity, do you think the entire Cali liberal establishment has thrown its' weight behind that being taught in every Cali school, orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr more likely, is there a small group of diehard libs proposing this be taught in every Cali school, and you're projecting it into all of us like you always do?

I try so hard to put it in terms even you could understand, and you still continue with the projection and overreaction.

A small group of libs starts pushing this shit and you and the rest of the diehard patriots start spouting about this shit being taught in every school unless you stand up against it! Fight the good fuckin fight Chico. Like Sunny said - you're a good soldier.

Here is the documented evidence of CRT pushed in Virginia schools:
https://christopherrufo.com/mcaullifes-crt-lie/

Presentations, Virginia department of education documents, emails, etc.

So anytime you hear, CRT “doesn’t exist, boogeyman, is made up”…laugh because that is an outrageous lie.

We know CRT is Marxist based bullshit.

Remember, if you have to lie about it’s existence…you know it’s dishonesty at it’s heart is simply indefensible. Because it’s easier to say it doesn’t exist than take a position rooted in dishonesty and psychological damaging for kids. We know kids aren’t born racist or children aren’t racist, we know white men aren’t modern day slave owners, we know how damaging it is separating kids by race which an elementary school school in Atlanta or separating kids in Washington state school by oppressors and oppresses. This shit is racist.

So for parents to be upset about this bullshit is 10000000% acceptable. It’s their kids education…what dumbass doesn’t care about how their kids are being taught in school?

This CRT…if you study it in college, feel free, but you are not gonna use this frame in the basic education of children and then not allow that bullshit theory to be rightfully rebutted and justicely torn apart from parents across the country.

Swear to God it's like listening to the Teacher from Charlie Brown!

The right says its bad because anything that says whitey did something bad pisses off 80 percent of their base.

So only 4 out of 5? At least it isn't 8 out of 10.
