Re: Koren Robinson on Comcast (Local DC TV)
I think we need to undestand that Joe Gibbs isn't looking for "saints" to wear the burgundy and gold. Yes, he's looking for character guys, but exactly what does that mean? I think it entails a lot, but someone with a checkered past, such as KR, isn't automatically disqualified. Gibbs talks a lot about "human nature". When asked last year if the game had past him by, he basically responded that you know the game may have changed a lot since I've been gone, but people are basically the same.
I guess what I'm getting at, is that Gibbs has had a Koren Robinson or two in his day and I think he can be a powerful influence on this guy. I certainly think Gibbs would be open to meeting Robinson, getting a feel for him and coming to an understanding and a determination on his own. Don't be suprised to see this guy opposite Santana next year.
Joe Gibbs isn't looking for Saints but he definitely isn't looking for punks and guys with serious character issues. If they were to take a chance on Koren Robinson then why stop there? Might as well get TO. These guys are all losers and if the Redskins go after these types of guys then we know that this team has hit the high water point. Don't worry Gibbs will not waste his time picking up players that need to be baby sitted. |

Koren has had addiction issues, while TO has ego issues. I'm not defending either, but they are quite different. Plus, Koren has had a full year without incident and his peers and coaches voted him to the Pro-Bowl. Performance aside, I think that says a lot. |
Re: Koren Robinson on Comcast (Local DC TV)
If he was to come to DC, he is close friends with Shawn Springs who would be able to monitor Koren. I think we should take a chance on this guy. We'd have three speedsters to stretch the field (Moss, Robinson, and Patten), as well as a great underneath receiving threat (Cooley). If that doesn't open up the running game even more, I don't know what will. I think he might be a great pickup

i heard he is a born again christian, for whatever that's worth.

Re: Koren Robinson on Comcast (Local DC TV)
I think it is funny that people discount T.O. and then make excuses for a guy like Robinson. Granted, the skins cannot afford T.O. but he is a choir boy compared to Robinson (not to mention three times more talented). Let Robinson go to Dallas. Maybe he can hang out with Irvin and Newton.

If it is true it means an awful lot in Gibbs eye's, especially with an inside guy like Springs who Gibbs loves in his ear. But that has to be confirmed, but if true I think he's a skin, he want's to be [from what I have heard] around his best friend who from what I have heard is Springs. I will have to admit he looked like a new man in minnesota, there may be possibilities unfolding in the near future on this one. |
Re: Koren Robinson on Comcast (Local DC TV)
Heres a good article about Koren. I think Gibbs and co. should seriously consider bringing him in for a workout. He's got mad talent, and finally has his head straight.

Re: Koren Robinson on Comcast (Local DC TV)
Yeah, I heard an interview on Sirius NFL radio with Koren Robinson before the season. I was taken back by it because he sounded completely new. I always liked him in Seattle, glad he has his act together!
If nothing else, we get a great special teams player! |

People can turn their lives around, it DOES happen. I'm not saying that TO hasn't but TO destroys TEAMS not just himself. Granted, he might be a completely different person than we've seen in the past, but KR PROVED that he is. |

Exactly. One thing is to destroy yourself.....another is to destroy the whole team/locker room. |
Re: Koren Robinson on Comcast (Local DC TV)
I was against Robinson last year, but he seems to have things back on track and I'd definitely be in favor of bringing him in.
I'd be suprised if he's not on Gibbs' radar. |

There is large difference in the medical community between Alcoholism, and Assholism!

Re: Koren Robinson on Comcast (Local DC TV)
I am not giving this guy a big deal. He needed to keep his nose clean this year in order to get a shot at another big pay day. The only way to know if he has turned his life around is to see his actions after his next signing bonus. If it were up to me I am not putting that signing bonus on my salary cap to find out. The skins just need a dependable #2 WR...they don't need to take uneccesary gambles on this guy...
