If I have to listen to Brunell bashing all week I think I'm going to puke. If you can honestly say that he was the main reason for that loss I'm sorry that's just a very ignorant view.
right, cause mcnabb regularly throws for 100 yards and 50% completions in loses, as does eli or peyton, or....

sorry. it's not all brunell, but he didn't help us with anything today.

1. defense (coverage, playcalling - GW knows he can't get coverage, so instead of blitzing and hoping for the best (turn overs), he sits in prevent type defensive and watches yardage get chewed up... i know the blitzes were mainly picked up, but i mean, change it up, do something, please, just please stop playing like crap).

2. offensive playcalling (predictable, not well suited for dealing with fast/capable DEs and fast DTs, one deep throw all day)

3. brunell - sorry, but even including the above two, that's just not a good job. he wasn't skipping balls, but he did get unnecessarily anxious once again because of the hint of pressure, and that seems to account for all the jekyll and hyde we've seen. he's WAY to quick to put eyes on pressure. like kurt warner, his poise is gone.
Another good point.

Our uniforms are dogshit. Can we at least look decent when we get kicked in the teeth?
WTF! You would rather SD powder blue, or the Jags teal or how about Carolina's whatever color you want to call that. BTW, oh wait, how about purple? BTW uniforms are hardly our current problems. We "played" horrible against NY, and NY was not all that impressive either. NY was just not as bad as we were. Our problems against NY are spread across the entire roster. It was a complete organization effort to "play" as embarassing as we did. Gibbs, Saunders and Williams should really take heat for this game. In contrast, it would not be fun if we won every game, nor would it be a "game".

you're arguing that no one should dislike white on white jerseys? that's a new level of homerism :P apparently you can't even like a color without reprimand or PhxRedSkin's consent.

and yeah, those powder blues really are pretty killer, and the teal ain't bad either.

Good job Guy :) don't spend all your money from grandma on hostess fruit pies. A disposition of getting butt hurt is a real problem. All I said was uniforms are not our problem right now. When did I declare myself as the uniform nazi? Sorry, do not know what I did.
So let's call out all the spades. The atrocious 3rd down D today. The big plays given up. No pressure on Manning. Shitty tackling. No run D. Shitty execution on offense. Missed FG by Hall, etc, etc.

Brunell is just one piece of what was a team wide problem today. He doesn't deserve to be singled out today.
THat missed FG by Hall was meaningless and a very poor call on 4th and short. We needed to TD's and a made field goal would not have done a thing for our team. Now if we go for it on 4th down and make it maybe it gives the team some hope. It also lets the O know that the coaches have some convidence in them to make a play when needed. Kicking only said that we give up and its a hopless.

before throwing insults, you should learn to read. you replied to someone talking about uniform colors with "WTF, would you prefer powder blue?"

so yeah, you did. better luck next time though.

This paragraph from Tom Boswell says it best about out free agents:

On Sunday, Carter didn't have a tackle, much less a sack, Randle El had two catches for 10 yards and Lloyd, who now has 75 yards receiving in five games, didn't catch a single ball. Archuleta led the team with 10 tackles.

Well as a whole, I think Randel El has been a great addition to our team, one day with 2 catches when we played like crap anyways isnt going to turn him off to me.

Sorry, what you meant is "Before throwing insults, you learn to read. You replied to someone talking about uniform colors with "WTF, would you prefer powder blue?"

I guess I need to go back to elementary school to learn how to "read", you meant speak or according to you "talking about uniform colors with WTF"

I'm real glad that in 8th grade they taught me to speak and not "talk" to another person. Why you might ask? It is rude to talk to someone.
BTW, sentences begin with a capital letter.

Good luck with your G.E.D. test when you get there.

Re: Redskins v. Giants: Goat of the Week?

The whole team played like crap, no question about it. I agree with Boswell's general point that this team just does not show up unless their "backs are to the wall". You can't be great like that. You've got to be motivated to win every week. It seems like a silly thing to say, but I think that's the big thing. We come out flat and no one is able to pick us up, Sometimes, Portis alone can do it, but if he can;t no one else does. We are not in it mentally, so we get our ass kicked physically. that has to change.

What happened to our D? It is NOT the same and it's not just Springs and Clark. They do not have the same look at all, and it's very depressing. Those endless Giant Drives were unbearbale. We looked like a practice squad out there on D.

The offense really seems to need a few drives to get their rhythm. It's like they don't think they can do it for the first few drives. And in a game where the D is having trouble, that's bad. But it was a six point game at the half, and we came out EVEN WEAKER. Where's the fire on this team???

As for MB (yes, I'm going there), sure, switching him is no magic bullet. But he's just not that good a QB. We know that--sometimes he has his moments still, but it's oftem not enough. I don't expect to see Campbell any time soon, but I will be happy when I finally do. because it's hard to win without a high-quality QB. Maybe Campbell's not the guy. But I am losing faith that Brunnel is.

talk about G.E.D.s... good luck make any sense out of that steaming heap. ladybrave was right, maybe it makes sense if you're drunk.

nice way to try and deflect from the fact that you did do what you insulted me for accusing you of doing though :P

next time try responding to the actual claims instead of throwing out insults like a 2 year old. it's much more useful than continuing to waste everyone's time. maybe next time you can even learn to copy and paste correctly instead of repeating a post inaccurately... you know, while you're at it.

Re: Redskins v. Giants: Goat of the Week?

I'm laying some serious blame on Gibbs, Williams, and the scouting department for not nabbing a corner with our 2nd round pick. Rocky McIntosh, while he may be a good player one of these days, was not even close to what we needed.

We need CORNERS to be able to do what we do on defense. Carlos Rogers has talent, but he's still too green to be expected to be a #1. Without Shawn Springs, we can't cover well enough to let Williams blitz. We have to use Archuleta in coverage where he's basically worthless.

Horrible decision not to solidify the CB spot with better talent in the offseason. That's the single biggest thing that's killing us on defense.
