Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?
Delhomme and Trent Green didn't become full time starters until age 27/28

That happened 8 to 10 years ago? The league has changed. |
Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?
How old was Rippen before he had became a full time starter?
|

It looks like Trent is done in KC. I would almost be willing to bet a mortgage payment that he is our starter next year. We will probably trade Cambell for a 5th rounder. |
Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?
Rivers had been a backup since '04.
and Collins has been a backup since 1918. what's your point? Campbell hasn't even had regular PRACTICE with the first team yet. he's even behind for a backup. |

The league has changed.
Trent went to the Rams in what, 98 or 99? Injured that year went to KC the next year (I think.) It hasn't been that long ago. |

I'm just answering your questions...what is your point with Collins. We weren't talking about Collins. |
Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?
Oh, Rivers was born in '81, so that makes him around 25 or 26.
edit: Will have a birthday in December, so he will turn 25. One year younger than Campbell... not really much to argue about.
you certainly thought it was worth arguing about before. even if they were the same age, do you think no.3 w/o one NFL snap and season starter are comparable? |

Not sure where you're getting that info, he took the majority of the snaps with the first team during the bye, and in camp he got some work with the first team as well. |
That happened 8 to 10 years ago?
The league has changed.
Delhomme was 3/4 years ago. |
Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?
I think the point is, if Campbell is our future, and our seaon is lost already, we need to know what he is capable of. The only way we will really know that is if he has a chance to play.

Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?
I would feel like someone hit me in the face with a shovel...this can't be serious...if they start collins, its as if they're throwing darts at a board as a decision making process

well you asked me how long Rivers has been a backup and i thought we were talking about Campbell. |

You started the argument about the age. I'm just providing you the answers in comparison that Rivers had to sit the bench for two seasons before he had became a starter, and in comparison there was not that big of an age difference between the two. |

Someone else asked about Rivers...I asked about Rippen. |
