When Gore is compared to Smith people are atlking about ability, which you judge from watching the player play. No one is comparing their freaking careers right now.

I agree. They're closer than one would think. Alex Smith looks like the real deal. I can see them being next year's team that comes out of nowhere to be a playoff contender.

Frank Gore is another example of how you don't have to break the bank for a superstar running back to succeed in this league. Sure, superstars like LT would be nice, but sometimes an Earnest Byner will do just fine.

LT is a lot faster than Gore, cuts quicker, and is better goalline back and much better at ball security. Gore is a much more powerful runner though and picks up the blitz better. Both catch the ball out of the backfield extremely well.

LT is the better back but I don't think it is by as big a margin as most think.

Don't even bother trying to compare anyone with him, especially Gore. Yeah he's having a good season, but it's one season man, calm down just a bit.

I don't get your point. LT is overall the better back but he doesn't do everything better. I think my post acknowledged that.

You are insane.[/quote]Okay so just putting the too players in the same sentence is insane? I'm just saying the general public probably doesn't realize how good Gore is in relation to how good LT is. LT is the better player but Gore does some things much better just like LT does some things much better than Gore (see in my post the specifics). Do you disagree that there are some things Gore is better at?

LT is a better blocker, passer, runner on the outside, runner on the inside, a much better receiver, fumbles a whole lot less, has been extremely consistent over 6 years compared to one good year, and is insanely more productive at putting points on the board and his team on his back when they need him. so in what ways is Gore better? no one is playing at LT's level at the running back position right now. I appreciate u being all about your team and it's players but that's pure crazy talk even mentioning LT and Gore in the same sentence at this point of their respective careers.
