Some guy named Danny Wuerffel once tore up NFLE too.
That has a lot to do with my point...
Just cause a guy plays well in an INFERIOR league does not mean it will translate to the NFL.
Look at Doug Flutie, hands down the best CFL QB ever, and he was nothing special in the NFL.
Just as Matty pointed out, Danny was great too, but how did that work out in the NFL?

worked out better than anything the redskins have on that roster. You wish flutie was back there he could run.

are we that bad on this board? 4 pages, and counting, about a scrub named bramlet. odds are he will never throw a pass in the NFL
LOL what crap?? Cutting a 5th string QB??
I know it sounds stupid but I have been out to a couple practices. I'm telling you Brunell's arm is so done. He can't even throw a 15 yard out. I don't care how much experience you have, if you can not put any zip on the ball you need to be cut. And Palmer looked real lost. Bramlett looked like he belongs. He doesn't throw it like JC but he wasn't missing guys either. He's looked pretty accurate.

I'm by no means qualified as any of the coaches but I'm really starting to wonder what they are looking at. I know Brunell has experience and I know Collins knows the offense but Bramlett looked better than both of them. So it comes down to the BS politics. Gibbs likes his guy and Sanders likes his guy and so on.

If I were the owner, I would demand that the coaches have more competition at all the positions. RB, back-up QB, D-line, cornerback, safety opposite Taylor and WR. It seems everyone has their positions nailed down and this team is 5-11?? That makes no sense to me.

Except then people would say "The Redskins suck because they have no consistency, they never give their players a chance to gel as a team. There's no chemistry, they're always looking for the quick fix..."

At certain positions we need consistency. Like QB. We know JC is the guy. Our o-line is coming off a solid season so we know they can play. RB we are set. But at D-line, back-up qb, linebacker, kicker, wr and secondary guys should not be handed jobs. That's just how I see it. Competition makes everyone better. If that's stupid then so be it. We were 5-11. Not 11-5. Jeez.

That's the offseason for you, we're all chomping at the bit to start the season.
We're all Redskins drug addicts and we're dieing for our fix!

I don't think anyone is being handed jobs at several of those positions.
If Bramlet was so good in the NFL "Zooropa," wouldn't he have been worth a little more time in camp?
Have to agree with you there. Coach Gibbs and AS would not have done that before the preseason games started this unless the kid really sucked. I am pulling for Palmer to replace Collins for sure!!!!!!!
