Native American were interviewed and only 5% of native americans had a problem with the name. Besides, the team was named the Redskins to honor their former coach when they were in Boston.

No change is coming and the only people that have a problem with the name is the liberal media.

The "casino" indians aren't griping about inappropriate logos -- they're too busy managing the $1 billion they dropped last year on the Hard Rock Cafe. They, the Osceola tribe, also control the image of the Florida State Seminoles, so my guess is that they're not sending angry memos to Dan Snyder.

Did anyone see the Farmers insurance Indian Chief float at the Rose parade today? It was cool, reminded me of the Redskins war chief at 60ft tall.

Never heard the fave coach story so do tell. Here's the version I know: When George Preston Marshall bought the Boston Braves back in the 30s, he had to move across town and wanted to keep with the Native American theme. He changed Boston Braves to Boston Redskins which eventually moved to DC.

Stick with the current uniforms. Thats our uniform because the Redskins are old school like that. All the traditional successful franchises who used the same uniform the entire time have done well. Packers, Yankees, 49ers, Cowboys, etc. Redskins is our name to. No other pro or college team has that name. We had that name for 70 years? Dan Snyder is to big of a Redskins fan to go changing our tradition so dont expect a change. If they do change our jerseys ill be amgry. I have 3 jerseys of the ones they wear right now.

The only way the Skins will change unis is when they are forced by a court or the NFL to change their name.

of all my days of being a redskins fan i have never heard of anyone bringing up changing the redskins uniforms.now their has been alot of talk about the name of the redskins but not the uniform.the team should never change it just update and make it look more defined.like it does now.looks great to me.

Just a small correction for ya, George Preston Marshall bought the Boston Braves in 1932, a year later playing in Fenway Park, Marshall renamed them the Redskins and hired an Indian coach named Lone Star Dietz. The team was not profitable and actually was doing well going to the NFL Championship in 1936, losing to Greenbay. They were fewer than 14,000 people in each of their 7 home games playing in Boston. Marshall moved them to D.C. in 1937 brought in rookie Sammy Baugh, and the rest is history.
