Re: Kareem Moore
i have watched kareem moore S from nicholls state ... Good charatcher Guy hard hitter ( he can lay the wood) i have wacthed him play he sign with OLE Miss for 2years and transfered to nicholls state. Sean taylor is his favorite player and the redskins are his favorite team so look for good things from Kareem they call him K-Mo Savage (he a beast) Doughtery watch yo back
Welcome to the board. I didn't know he was a skins fan, a Sean Taylor fan, and had such a cool nickname. Very cool. I imagine he'll do little more than be a solid special teams contributor at first, but hopefully he'll pan out as a regular down player. I also heard he's a hard hitter, plus he has good measurements for a safety. Coming from a small school like Nicholls State, it'll probably take him some time to adjust to NFL speed, but I'm optimistic about him. |
Re: Kareem Moore
I like this pick. Our DBs our looking good depth wise. It looks like Landry will still play FS though if Horton doesn't have the recovery speed.

Re: Kareem Moore
He may be placed on IR this year. He's apparently undergoing knee surgery this week. I don't really know the details

Really, where did you hear this from? If this is the case it would be kind of odd that we would draft a player that may not even be able to play this year. |
Re: Kareem Moore
There must be a link somewhere perhaps. I'll see if I can find one. Hold on a second

Re: Kareem Moore
I can't find a link right now, heard it at work. It's actually arthroscopic surgery I believe. So I don't know exactly how long he'll be out. There must be a link somewhere on ESPN.com.

I believe this the same thing HB Blades had at the end of the season. I remember someone saying that once you have it done it ususally becomes a routine thing for a athlete each season. |
Re: Kareem Moore
Isn't getting arthroscopic surgery sometimes mean they are loooking for something else?

Usually. But most of the time they just find some cartilage pieces that need to be cleaned out and it turns out to be no big deal. |

Kareem Moore - Redskins Insider
"Kareem injured his knee ironically while participating in a college all-star game in early Feb. We did not know the status of his knee at the time, so he started the game and played well. We later learned the extent of his injury and he had a scope performed on the knee about a week after the all-star game. He then rehabbed for a few weeks and performed all drills during two pro days, one at Ole Miss and another at Nicholls State. Scouts knew of his injury and could see he was performing well even after the knee was scoped a few weeks prior to the workouts. "Kareem was widely considered the best safety in the south region during his senior year. The Redskins knew of his prior knee scope but could definitely see his upside. (Several other teams were equally as interested). So after he was drafted, the Redskins had him examined by the team doctor in Alabama. The doctor determined that he should have a second scope to fix the knee completely. The Redskins know that he is a player that can help the team immediately so they wanted the doctor to scope the knee asap. I think the scope took place the day after the draft ended. "He is rehabbing now and hopes to be at full speed by the start of training camp. The doctor is expecting a full recovery and the knee will be stronger through this process." |
