Re: F...commuting
Since you guys are talking about the Metro, I have a question about "commuting" to the MNF game.
I looked at the metro schedule and it says the last train leaves Largo at 12:30 on weeknights. I'm concerned whether or not we can get out of the stadium and walk to the Morgan station in time if that's the case. Does the train run later on that night or do I need to plan on hauling ass out of the stadium?
Morgan Sation???? where is that? |
Re: F...commuting
I used to live and work in Frederick with a seven mile commute, one end of town to the other. I got transferred to Germantown and now have a 25 mile commute on 270. I fight traffic at 5:30 in the morning and trying to get home on a holiday weekend can sometimes take over a hour.
In the past, Metro has made exceptions for many things, including football games I believe. I'd imagine Metro will extend their hours for the Monday night game...
What he said. They always extend for football games. |
Re: F...commuting
Thanks fellas.
I hate that walk to the Morgan Blvd. station, but I don't want to drive. We stayed near the stadium when we went in 2005 and drove down Central Ave. into DC one night. My friend, who gave us the tickets, freaked out when I told her we went into the city that way. She kept telling me how crazy we were for doing that and don't ever drive through that part of the city, etc, etc. Heck, I didn't know and I'm thinking why didn't she tell me that when she gave me the tickets. |

The Morgan Boulevard station, it's about a half a mile's walk from Fedex Field. That's the station that most riders go to, and then they make the walk up the hill to Fedex. The last game I went to, the '06 season opener, I rode the Metro with my dad n we got off at the Morgan Boulevard station. I believe it's the last station on the blue line. |

If you go to another game, I'll PM you the directions. Totally free, still relatively secret, and closer than a lot of the cash lots. |
