Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Jason Campbell will not be the starting QB this season. Redskins will pursue USC's Sanchez or a seasoned veteran QB. It is very clear that Mr. Snyder wants no part of JC and will do anything to replace him. Stay tuned.
Well, a rookie QB won't win right away and there aren't any veteran superstars. So this is over and done with. Now the team needs to patch things up with Campbell (and since he's not a crybaby, it should not be a problem) and move on with the draft.
how will campbell handle this, if he is even our starter..... is the main ?
#1 have you heard what he has said lately?

#2 who is going to beat him out?
No, here's the break down...

Denver gets: Two 1st rounders, One 3rd rounder, and Kyle Orton
Chicago gets: Cutler, and a 5th rounder
oh wow, that's not what I heard earlier.. that's wild

so did they think that orton > campbell or were we not willing to give away a 3rd?

I didn't believe it was going to happen, but the Bears GM stepped up and answered my call for someone to save Snyder from himself!

Jason Campbell is our starter, right now. No, we're not going to draft a QB. But this is going to be a very interesting season. Clearly, Campbell has incentive to leave now at the end of the year.
The Bears were the last team I expected to be able to pull this off. I mean in the past Jerry Angelo has proven himself time and time again to be cheap. Never would have guessed this would happen.
qb is cheap this year unless they redo his contract.. trade away high draft picks so that you don't have to pay them, kinda evens out hah

No not that. Though I guess that was part of the appeal to a guy like Angelo. I meant like cheap in all areas including paying draft picks and paying money in exchange for players.

There's actually some speculation that the Broncos are getting the Bears' first in 2011 as well (highly speculative though, maybe it's conditional)

Well if Gibbs was our coach, I would say yes. Would you say this was all Snyder, SS?

he said that if he's not traded he's still ready to be our QB of the future, so if that's his final answer we're okay this year I guess

I think that he probably still has the support of zorn and plenty of other players, but he definitely has to have a bitter taste in his mouth concerning the top brass in the organization..

why is it that all of these guys say they want to stay in DC?
