Maybe you should blame Detroit for instilling a culture of losing. According to Sanders, he said it was too much for him to handle.

In hindsight, he got out safely before Matt Millen came in and went overkill in nuking the franchise.

Well if what DS said was true (that he met Emmitt once in 2000) what gives Emmitt the right to speak to Dan's character in public? I highly doubt that ES is spending time reading the Washington Post regarding the team raping its fans so what the hell is he basing it on?

I think Dan Snyder's treatment of club seat ticket holders is unscrupulous but it sure seems like a lot of his players and coaches would take a bullet for him. I also thought he was a piece of sh-- for meddling and ruining the team over the last decade but it seems like he has taken a step back. He deserves credit for that.

I wouldn't blame Florida. I would blame the oxymoron "student athlete" when it comes to a player as talented as Emmitt. Dexter Manley was elgible for four years of college football even though he couldn't read.

I think even Emmitt said they met just once. Plus he was like "he's not compassionate, not compassionate at all....from what I understand"

Yes. Dexter was an especially egregious example. Changing "debacle" from a noun to a verb is one thing; functional illiteracy is another.

What language/dialiect does Emmitt Speak exactly? I've heard some people refer to it as ebonics but at the same time it just doesn't feel like ebonics, at least to me. Maybe it's more of a combination of ebonics and an attempt to sound educated. Like a weird fusion of a drunk english professor and a drug dealer.

I think Emmit is an idiot but DS' specific response was stupid. No need to go down to that level and take cheap shots. If you are really a man of character just say you are surprised a HOF back of Emmit's caliber would resort to such personal attacks, you are disappointed he feels that way, state you are a good person, and wish Emmit the best.

Much classier. Of course Dan has to take shots as usual. Even though its not at the same level reminds me of the whole L. Coles, you are gonna sit at home and watch thing(not sure exactly what it was).
