Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
Wait for Mallet in 2011 or 2012 and get a guy like Stull or Kafka to develop in the later rounds. THen you can dumb Grossman in 2011.

It is appropriate to crucify the savior on Easter. |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
Now that we have brought in McNabb as well as signed veteran QB Rex Grossman to a 1 year deal, would we expect Shannahan to keep three aging quarterbacks, not draft a rookie, and cut Brennan? My guess is we replenish our draft pick stock that we lost in getting McNabb by trading campbell for whatever picks we can get. Is he gone?
Let me type these seven words then you can lock up the thread. Does a bear shit in the woods? |

mallett is slow and very inaccurate for a top qb, 55% last season and 15 of 36 in his bowl game. huge arm though and is huge. i dont know if he would fit with shanny's system basically. |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
Again only QB I really see us even attempting to acquire in the future that has a legitimate chance of playing is Tebow and thats only with a trade down.

Then, realistically, God had better help us #1 McNabb #2 Grossman #3 rookie QB |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
Brennan may stay...with a different number?
JC is definately gone!!! |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
I wouldn't mind sending him to Seattle. Certainly a better situation then Buffalo and MUCH better then Oakland. Then again how can anyone expect Campbell to compete with Whitehurst. I mean thats just crazy.
Should The Seattle Seahawks Target Jason Campbell? | 12th Man Rising | A Seattle Seahawks Blog One Panther fan wrote that they (the Panther nation) "wont Jason Campbell" last November: we wont jason campbell!!! - Carolina Panthers Message Board Cleveland would have been a perfect fit but offering so much money to Delhome makes me wonder if they would consider trying to acquire Campbell. Then again the McNabb trade has shown us that anything is possible. Tenneesee would have been a great fit next year with our offseason this year (if that makes any sense to y'all). |
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
Now we will see just what Campbell's true value is, and see if he will be an NFL starting QB somewhere else.
|
Re: Is Campbell Officially Headed Out The Door?
I think JC will be here this year because McNabb is old and injury prone (like the Skins RBs) and they will need a sort of capable backup.
As possible trading destinations for JC?
Yup. Bills are still the reported front runners though |
