Re: RGIII Ready to Report (Signs Deal)
Now that he's signed, we can trade him for John Beck.

Please. No way whomever has Beck would give him up so easily. |

It's the Texans currently. From what I understand, Kyle Shanahan still has some pull with that organization. It may cost us our 2015-2017 first rounders along with Griffin, but I think we can swing it...maybe. |
Re: RGIII Ready to Report (Signs Deal)
Leribeus shouldn't be long now.

Re: RGIII Ready to Report (Signs Deal)
True. Perhaps the FO made the determination that the precedent it was setting would not necessarily govern the vast majority of future contracts it expects to negotiate (I'm a lawyer so am always focused on whether prior precedent is actually on point).
Does anyone know whether offset language is typically (or has ever been) included in the contracts of non-rookie free agents?
Not sure about non-rookie FAs, however you won't see the offset language in any rookie contract where that rookie has an ounce of leverage in negotiations. |

Exactly. This is THE John Beck we're talking here, not some crappy 50% completion, garbage time TD throwing chump here. I say we package RGIII, a couple 1st's, and Kerrakpo and make this happen! :headbange |
