There have also been significant changes to stadium rules. You can no longer stand up when your team is on defense which to me affects my cheering ability! They've taken a lot of the stadium activities out of the game. Security concerns have taken some of that out of the home crowd.
they enforce that at fedex? some people seemed to stand for most of the game the last time i went, maybe i'm recalling it wrong. i was in 109 or 110, it was the patriots game last season. i noticed some people (in redskins gear) didn't even clap, stomp their feet, or open their mouths - wtf?

What? You can't stand up when your team is on defense! I've never heard of such BS. U have gotta be making this up. |

Sorry, but I'm going to have to call BS on that. I've never had that experience at Fedex. Provided, I don't go to a lot of games per year, but I was never asked to sit while the defense was on the field. |
Re: Why aren't the Redskins winning at home?
I hadn't thought about the home losing streak in this way. I live about 7 hours away and haven't been to a game in probably 3 years.
I would assume it is quite depressing for season ticket holders. Can you imagine going basically a whole season with no wins at every game you attend? The prices charged for tickets, food, drinks etc. lends itself to non fans or people who view the game as a status marking. 80% of the people in the stadium have no true passion for the team. Plus, the teams money is in the suites. Corporations buy these suites and hand tickets out as perks. How many people from these corporations truly like the Skins?
I would say you're pretty dead on about the corporations. I mean, I live in NC now, and if a company or an individual gives me Carolina Panthers tickets, I'm going to go because it's fun going to Charlotte for games. I'm not a Panthers fan (although I'd root for them since they are a "home" team) and in the end, I wouldn't care as much if they won or lost, but I'd go because the tickets are free and it's a fun event. |

Once, I was told to sit down or I would be removed by security. People behind me complained. |

Yes, that's why I was threatened with ejection. |
Re: Why aren't the Redskins winning at home?
fat tubs can wear nothing but paint on their tits, but no one can stand while the home defense is on the field, cool.

Oh, well, that's understandable. |
Re: Why aren't the Redskins winning at home?
The best Fed Ex Field win in Redskins history? The inaugural game in 1997 against the Cards. Michael Westbrook's acrobatic touchdown catch from Gus Frerotte in OT has to this point been the most thrilling Redskins victory at Fed Ex Field, although it was called Jack Kent Stadium at that time.

So you are saying that it's Snyder's money grubbing fault, because he erased Jack Kent Cooke's name from the stadium and tore the legendary heart and soul out of the stadium for the sake of a dollar. ;) I knew it was a curse!!! |
