Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Gordon is worth a first rounder though not a fourth and a third. I say a third because that is probably Cousins true value as a draft pick now.
I guess I should have added the sarcasm face after my OP.....:laughing2 The Browns would be foolish to get rid of their (1) true play maker on offense. |
Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Cousins = Nick Foles
Play him behind a dominant line and you'll be pleased with the results. Play him behind anything else and you'll be no better than 8-8. I'd take a 3rd. |
Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I don't really know what will happen with Cousins because as some have pointed out, RG3's health is far from a sure thing and the same can be said about his play. Nobody really knows 100% that he is going to go back to being what he was before the injury. Now -- he should be much better to begin 2014, but i think its foolish to stand back and say we know for sure that he will be awesome again.
But - they have basically said that RG3 is the starter no matter what, so unless injury happens, no chance of Cousins coming in like he did last year. With that mentality, a player like Kirk might want to go somewhere else where he at least gets a shot.... |
Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Cousins will always resemble Wrecks: runs hot, runs cold, prone to turnovers.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
If I were the Redskins, I'd need to see RG3 bounce back before I deal Cousins. Gibbs use to say the backup QB is the 2nd most important guy on the team and I could not agree more. I think everyone is just assuming that RG3 will bounce back. We have two young drafted guys that have shown they can both play on 4 year deals. QB is one of the few positions where we have depth. I hold on to that depth for another year.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I think we get a 2nd and a 5th for him. Outside shot of getting a 1st.
(I don't think anyone is judging him on the last three of his starts for the Barnum and Bailey Redskins. The kid has a laser, is a hard worker, has poise in the pocket, is mobile and is smart. Someone will give up a second and a later round pick, although I could see him going for a 1st. Call me crazy, but I think it'll happen.) |
Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Even in 2012 Cousins had his ups (Browns) and downs (Falcons). Anyone who thinks that he is a bona fide starter or gives up a high draft pick is expecting him to show something he hasn't: consistency, including consistent ball security.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I'd say the high/low on draft picks for Cousins would be mid 2nd to high 3rd.
I doubt that the Skins would trade him for less than a high 3rd Round pick. |

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Im for keeping Our American Cousin but if we trade him Ive found a quality back up for Bob. Watch this zone read at :49 its a smoooth as silk.

He came in to that Falcons game cold and against a very good team. I dont think u can call that a down. He has never had a consistent run with the first team starters. On top of all of this he like Griff plays behind one of thee worst offensive lines in football without a strong group of wr's. Based on the mess this team has been lately i think it is way to early to label either one of them as a boom or bust. |

That dude could be our NT and our backup QB. :food-smil |
Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Jason Campbell would make a perfect back up. It would make my season to laugh at the Browns every week Cousions throws 2, 3 ,and 4 picks.
|
Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I think he ends up going for a 3rd and a 5th to the Vikings or Jags
