Jordan Reed
Reed is making an 8 figure salary. If we were in his shoes we'd keep playing and worry about the health risks later. He only has a short period of time where he can make his money. This isn't golf. Get your money Jordan and prey you're ok later on in life.
If i made one 8 figure salary id be able to make that work while chilling in the Caribbean for the rest of eternity. Just sayin... And money aint worth quality of life. I hope to hell he bounces back and has a long ass career for us. He is one hell of a tight end. |

Myself, I've always been a fake neurologist. |
Re: Jordan Reed
This thread on the first 3 pages are a bunch of crabby apples. Goodness, its ok to disagree with each other.
I'm not worried about him retiring soon, but I am worried for his distant future. Hopefully for everyone, the medical technology in the future can help cure some of these issues caused by too many head injuries. |
Since there really isn't any reliable data on player concussions over the last 50 years, you have a wonderful world of denial built for yourself.
Simple question: Can multiple concussions over a period of few years affect a player's physical abilities?
Yes, though as evidenced by years and years of boxing, those effects don't typically set in until much later in life, after the athlete has long passed his playing days. There is very little history, proportionally speaking, of players and boxers having their physical abilities compromised until they are in their 40s, 50s, and beyond. |
Jordan Reed
For the record I am simply saying he should retire. One thing that has plenty of data to back it up is that you can compromise your quality of life in a huge way if you keep getting your coconut rattled. One thing that does not need data to support it is that all the money in the world is not worth it. Why take the chance? For fame and fortune? He has millions. He can get any number of better jobs than most of us can.
You guys are both talking impossible talk as there is and will never be data on his specific noggin. Every concussion is different for every person. So are the effects. But why in the hell gamble on your well being? Im not saying you get hit hard you quit, but 6 "known" concussions in a few years is enough to make me walk away. |

TBH I don't care what you would do. I care about Jordan Reed. Love Schneed |

The vote will be rigged anyway. You know certain powerful influences want him to play. |

By my count it is 5-2 in favor of him walking away. 6-2 if you include me role playing as Jordan Reed. Sort of a gray area on how Schneed feels about role played Jordan, so give or take a vote... |
Re: Jordan Reed
no practice for Reed again today...he is all but out.

Keep him out until after the bye. We can beat the Lions, and Tigers (and bears - oh my) without him. Let him get 110% for the playoff run |
Re: Jordan Reed
Pretty sure Schneed has him in a $500.00 keeper league.
