I thought I remembered Ron saying in the off/pre-season that they wanted to move Collins to a different role, and he just kind of said no until 6(ish) weeks ago. It seemed like they knew, however wouldn't force him to move. Maybe behind the scenes they were coaching him into the new position/role/expectations? I don't know
..just kind d of spitballing here. He def excelled when he moved.
