Re: Time to revisit my April post...
I'd like to think you're right about other teams respecting Gibbs's opinion of a player, but I'm not sure. In any case, I think we're going to be lucky to post a winning season with either Ramsey or Brunell at the helm even with the D looking so good. Here's hoping that Campbell, the guy that Gibbs evaluated and wanted, matures quickly.
Ramsey blows goats. We'd be lucky to get a 2nd rounder for him.
Blowing Goats doesn't make you bad person does it? :laughing- |
Re: Time to revisit my April post...
Only if the goats don't use condoms. That would be irresponsible behavior :P
3 drives, 0 tds, and how many ints again? Face it, Ramsey has shown himself to be not worth the previous hype.
and culpepper has 8 ints yet most would trade a 1st + extras for him ;) that sample size is too small... but i do think the best case for ramsey is to be like bledsoe and the worse case is to end up a career backup... his value has dropped because he hasn't shown improvement, regardless of whether he's been screwed over or not, he's still been around for a while. He's at least as good as others in his class (carr harrington), but that's not really saying much. that said, can we please not jump to insults so quickly? |
Re: Time to revisit my April post...
I do think benching has at least a minor impact on value, since other FOs are going to wonder why it went down. In this case though its kinda obvious that brunell showed a lot of improvement and ramsey wasn't benched for sucking as much as for having another guy step up.
