There needs to be something that is the opposite of the Christy Clause, like if the bros want the guy to tag along for something realy awesome.
How about The Sideline Situation because I don't care if I'm with Jessica Alba, if my buddies get sideline passes to a Skins game they better club me over the head and drag me if I try to resist.
See I don't know. I'd say a shot at Jessica Alba has got to be more rare than sideline passes... Maybe I'm just horny, I dunno. |

This is a tricky situation. Again what would classify the sideline situation? A concert, a party, true sidline tickets? Would the quality of the girl play any role in this? |
Re: Warpath's Official Man Law Thread
Good points by both of you, maybe I rushed that one. Jessica Alba (once in a life time for a goober like me) vs the sideline (I could always jump the wall and run like hell for a few seconds). Ummmm, the law is tough.

Re: Warpath's Official Man Law Thread
I found this over here http://dpvball.tripod.com/scottsong/bros_before_hoes.htm
Perhaps we can take and learn and take parts from it.
throughout my life, i have seen numerous guy friends get whooped. whooped by some girl who isn't going to mean much to him in the long run. but during that short period of time when the relationship is rolling, the guy tends to forget about his other responsibilities. this is where i come in to set everything straight. bros before hoes. that's the one and only rule. well, don't cheat on the gal...i guess that's another rule. but anyways, i'm not saying that all girls are hoes or anything, so ladies, don't get offended. it's just a generalized term used to describe all the women out there who mess with a guy and take him away from his friends. a lot of times, it's necessary to take a step back and look at the big picture. if all your life you grew up with a group of guys, then you must place them higher than any short term girlfriend. it makes sense b/c the longer you know someone, the more you should trust them and the more they should mean to you. the problem with guys is that we always think with our hormones and not our heads, so when you meet this girl, you are willing to drop everything for her b/c you think she is perfect. (which goes back to my other point in the other plan that guys tend to think they know the girl well when they really don't). so they drop everything for this girl and he loses all contact with his other friends...but after the relationship ends, he finds himself with no friends to turn to, since he betrayed them all. hahaha. who you gonna turn to now, boy??? IDIOT! but there is also a lot of misconception as to when or how a guy disses his boy by choosing the girl over his boys. scenario: you promise the girl you'd have lunch with her and then later the guys ask if you want to join THEM for lunch. you say no b/c you're supposed to eat with your girl. are you a diss? NO, you're just trying to be a man of your word. guys who consider that to be a diss are a bunch of morons. but if the girl messes with your previously arranged plans with your guy friends, then there's a prob. or when all you ever talk about with your guy friends is your girlfriend, then there is also another prob. or when the guy is willing to do much bigger favors for the girl than for his boys, then there is a HUGE problem. i know guys who'd drive the girl practically anywhere but would have a fit if you asked him for a ride home. bitter? nah...it just makes decisions about how much you wanna invest in the friendship a lot more easier. actually, to be honest, i haven't been dissed a lot by guy friends...but that's only b/c my friends and i are all losers who can't get any girls anyways. But you can still be a diss even if you never have a girl...lots of guys drop their friends in PURSUIT of a girl...and they end up empty handed. haha. the true character of a guy is revealed by how he treats his guy friends. anyone can be sweet to a girl that he likes, but it takes a lot more character to be generous and understanding to another guy. why? because close guy friends have nothing to offer unless you're a flaming homosexual with overpowering strength (tom kim) and also b/c since the guys are so close, you can observe how he acts around those who he feels comfortable around. so if he treats his close friends like crap, then be ready to expect the same from him later down the line when he feels comfortable around you. that's why i hate guys who are nice to girls and only girls. girls justify it by saying "well, you just gotta get to KNOW him and his sensitive side...he's just misunderstood..." i say that it's a bunch of BS. a jerk is a jerk is a jerk. they just show no character or class. girls tend not to ever realize that they are taking their "man" away from his guy friends. so girls, try to be more aware of everything. understand that a guy needs his guy friends, just as a girl needs her girl friends. be understanding if he needs to sacrifice time with you to be with the friends he grew up with. a hoe ain't gonna understand and will demand that the guy give her all of his attention 24/7. a real woman is secure enough in the relationship to loosen that leash a little so that he can live a halfway normal life. guys, don't lose sight of what's important. don't put all your eggs in one basket, cuz if it falls, then not only do you lose all your eggs, but you feel like a loser for dropping the basket, too. but if you want the girl to understand your need to be with your boys, then make sure you can make her secure in the relationship, otherwise you aren't doing your job as a man. don't be with the guys and neglect the girl, either. but all in all, girls come and go, but friends...well, friends come and go, too. but it just looks better to drop a hoe than to drop your friends. remember, she may be sweet, she may be wonderful, but if she tries to take you away from what made you YOU, then she ain't nuthin' but a HOE. =)
|
Re: Warpath's Official Man Law Thread
Bros Before Hoes Escape Clause: When in the course of preparing for or attending a preplanned "bro event," should a bro be given the opportunity to bag a chick of extraordinarily unusual hotness, bro is released from all former bro obligations, plans, events and promises. "Extraordinarily Unusual Hotness" is defined as hotness on par with Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansen or Mandi Moore. The bro in question must abide by the previously established Man Law that all Extraordinarily Hot Chicks must be established with photographic/video evidence. Bro is allowed to enact the "Bros Before Hoes" escape clause if, and only if, aforementioned Bros concur via majority vote that "Hoe" in question is in fact extraordinarily and unusually hot.
Can we all get on board with this? |

This clause should not be applicable for any girl that has an extended relationship with the man, lets say 6 weeks. I don't care how hot my friend's girlfriend is he can't enact this clause for her all the time. This clause is perfect for random girls. If a group of guys are out at a party but have plans for later antd one meets someone a vote must be taken and it will not reflect badly on the man left behind. |
Re: Warpath's Official Man Law Thread
Sorry, but if my regular girlfriend were Jessica Alba or Scarlett Johansen, I'd tell the bros to F off. Then I'd buy new friends with the money from my incredibly hot and rich girlfriend.

Exactly, this is for random girls and it must be used sparingly. One of my friends became famous for this; he would get with these who we all though were the total package back in high school and ditch a planned bro event. "No big deal, at least he's with her" we'd say, until 3 months (and half of the Skins tickets he promised me) were behind us we would all mock him and be about ready to kill him for breaking the Bros before Hoes code. And on that note, a BLT awaits... |
Sorry, but if my regular girlfriend were Jessica Alba or Scarlett Johansen, I'd tell the bros to F off. I know you were joking but we must make this perfect. See if my friend was going out with Jessica alba it would be OK for a couple weeks. After that she is his girlfriend and that is what bros before hoes was made for. HE can't break plans with us over and over regardless if we vote she is extraordinarly hot. We won't change our minds about that so he can't just get out everytime. It must have significance. Lets say it is past the first two weeks and she is his girl, I would not mind as much if he is just about to seal the deal. I would rather use this clause in that situation than during the first two weeks because this situtation holds more significance. Bros before hoes is for all those that lose friends because they only want to do shit with their girls and that doesn't fly. And like the article said, when jessica alba dumps his sorry ass he is left with no one. He has betrayed his friends for months and has no girl. This law protects the original bro as much as his bros. Girls come and go but friends are there for the long haul. |
Re: Warpath's Official Man Law Thread
why is the BSB so adament about this? I will tell you why... here we go. I haven't said anything to him about this but I am sure he will read this. Now you all know of beach week, an event at the conclusion of high school where the seniors go to the beach. Some of you may know that I did not go.
A member here at the warpath, vishsskins was supposed to go with me for atleast 1-2 nights and we had a lot of people up there that would let us in their rooms. I have the go ahead from vishsskins that we are going. I knew a girl and mutual friend to us both had some sort of important event for herself. She sings and she wanted him to watch but he told me he would go with me. Well he calls me 10:30 the night before we go and says, yeah I don't WANT TO GO. Its not that he couldn't go, its that he didn't want to go. I was pissed and he knew it. I ddin't want to make the 3 hour trip myself and decided I am not going to be going either. Someone else was going but said earlier that he wasn't going to go for legit reasons. Vishsskins tells me its not that he wants to do anything else its that he just doesn't want to go. Well he goes to this thing for that girl 3 days later they are going out. He played me like a fiddle. He dropped our plans to go get this girl. This wasn't poker or a movie. This was beach week. Ultimate betrayal. Atleast tell me why and maybe I can enact the clause but to lie and betray? I have now made myself mad. That is cold. |

He goes, "Yeah, sounds about right". I was stunned I expected some sort of defense. I said so you didn't go with me to go to her thing. He said that he would rather go to her thing than beach week but if she didn't have that thing it would only increase the chances of him going to beach week. I said to him, you broke man law, defend yourself, lie, do something! He asked about man law and I explained bros before hoes. This was all a light hearted conversation. I told him he betrayed me only to increase his standing with her, at which point he replied, "Lets just say, I didn't need to increase my standing, lets just leave it at that" like a pimp.

From saden's "Hit & Run" Law Book:
Law #1: If you and your girl are done as in the bitch ain't having your babies, don't cockblock your boy. Move on and let him have his turn with her if he wishes. Law #2: Don't sell out for pu**y. If it's between a chick and your boy, choose your boy but lie to the chick and have her believe she was choose without hesitation. Law #3: Don't try to impress a chick from the get-go. It isn't worth it. It will never be worth it. Always be you. Rule #4: Don't send flowers to a chick to get her to go out with you. It just doesn't seem right since you don't even know here. Law #5: Before entering any sort of "relationship" let it be know you hate talking on the phone. It's highly encouraged that you ignore your cellphone calls in her presence. |

So you say don't pick up the phone when you are out with a girl. How about if it is your friend. Does it work backwards, if you are doing something with your friends should you not pick up the phone if your girl calls? Is this an OK response?
