We needed to be playing Trent Green all that time. I'll never understand how he didn't see the field before 1998. Frerotte was/is a journeyman. The only reason he had any reputation is that Schuler was so bad anyone would look good by comparison.

Michael Westbrook had talent. Just too much attitude to harness it.

Re: Grand Jury Indicts Vick

Westbrook was a pain in the ass, no doubt, but you could put together a pretty decent highlight reel of his catches for us. People were expecting Micheal Irvin type stuff, though. He was average mostly with glimmers of above average.

His problem was he didn't have a durable body type. Those little tiny legs always looked like they were about to snap.
It is ridiculous how many people I have heard stating how they don’t consider this issue a big deal (sorry Clinton P.). Says a lot about our society I guess.
I really hope that Portis understands just how disgusting dog fighting is after reading the indictment. It's not boxing or UFC. It's vile to consider it entertainment. Torturing animals in teen years is a common thread among serial killers and serial rapists. It's not suggesting that killing an animal is the same as killing a person, it's the thrill of dominating and torturing a living creature. I hope the hard-on Vick got from torturing animals get's him through a few years in "federal pound me in the ass prison."
On a football note, Culpepper's release came at a perfect time for him. If his knee is healed, Petrino will still have his marque stud QB.

Ok, let's review. As of the time I wrote my last post, your first four posts on this thread, actually, your first four posts since becoming a member of this site were as follows:

Post 1: “WOW!!! if we can indict vick then.....

Post 2: “i don't believe a word a fed or cia agent says....there all scum”

Post 4: “its not just the war buddy, its the way we treat dogs as equal and sometimes better than humans!! it sickens me how we get up in arms when something like this happens, but what about darfur? hell what about the homeless and less fortunate living here in america!?!? we put dogs in $500 spas, buy $200 dollar outfits etc. i just wish i could ship some of these peta people across the ocean to see what life is really like for most of world....and i have 3 dogs so its not about me hating dogs at all........

Trust me, your opinions have nothing to do with the fact that I assumed you were in junior high......rather, the content and tone of your posts did. What's worse is that you come on here and continually ignore the advice/instructions of the long-time members of this site to take your political opinions to the "parking lot" (it is a real place on this site, believe it or not). You see, it's obvious to me that from your first four posts you have a political agenda that you want to express. And however misguided that political agenda may be, there is still a forum available to you to express it.......it's just not on this thread. Want to avoid attacks? Then don't come onto this site all guns blazing and ignoring people who tell you to keep the off-topic discussion to a minimum.

That said, unless you are currently going to OSU or are an OSU alumni, I fail to see how your comment should matter to me at all.

Finally, in closing (as to post #2), a number of my current and former colleagues are/were federal prosecutors or "feds" as you like to lump them all together. These are decent, hard-working people who certainly do not deserve to be called "scum" by the likes of you.

Today in the news paper its said that Surry County is probably going to press other charges against Vick. Here's a link to the story if your interested in reading it but it just repeats most of the same stuff that we already know. It sounds like they are looking to go after him for animal cruelty type stuff and other things that the federal goverment is not pressing charges on Vick.

Is that a trick question?
Would anybody really care?
I would not, but it seems like always, the dude is already convicted in the media. I expect him to get suspended any time. Although, I think he is guilty, and I really like what the new commissioner is doing (for the most part), I don't know how he can discipline him without a conviction of some kind?
I Know the front office is REAL proud of the decision to trade my man Matt to the Texans..........what a deal

I was thinking the same thing.
It seems like the whole steroids thing in a way: what are the odds that only one guy on a team/in the entire league is involved in something like this?

If he starts naming names I think he might have to end up in witness protection because I'd think there'd be some really pissed off out-of-work football players out there looking for him.

People have grown weary of his lack of QB ability and leadership. Sure he can run, but now fans have figured him out. His 15 minutes of fame are over.

I don't watch the NFL for drama. I watch it for FOOTBALL. Without the drama crap, it would be a lot more enjoyable to watch.

Besides, Vick is the most overrated player today. He's not a great passer, if his first or second option isn't open, he doesn't have the football IQ to find a receiver...he just runs. Yes, he's a great athlete but he's not a good QB. Look at his record. What has he won for his team? Only bad headlines, that's all.

FOOTBALL is drama, that is why people watch it. Any sport is drama. I loved seeing Micheal Irving get smashed by D. Green because he was "the bad guy" back then. Buster, you may not like the off feild drama but FOOTBALL is the on-field drama.

Have you read the indictment?

Those are not the actions of a "good dude". And again - Feds have a 95% conviction rate on their indictments. Thus, given the history of their indictments, and for public opinion purposes, it is 95% likely that allegations contained in it are true.
