actool.net for a nice macro program

then just have it reload the page, click the box and repeat.

unfortunately, macro's aren't super portable for this type of thing, since refresh times can differ, browsers can differ, plugins can differ, ad blocking, screen resolution, etc - so even though it'd pretty basic, since i don't care enough to interact directly with the site through http get commands etc, it's hard to pre package something quickly.

Re: Vote for Chief Zee!

23k votes in 10minutes... it's not a bot though, it's a bot swarm - so it's cool, i guess :P

a single macro can vote about 15 times a minute, but that's 2k votes per minute on that poll... a command line bot can probably do that, but i figure it'd be banned pretty quick, unless they routed it through multiple ips, which seems a bit intense for a stupid poll.

there's obviously a ton of macro/scripters chain voting though while they sleep.

Seriously, we need to kick it up a notch. It's 53-47 Poe. I'm not losing to a purple fucking bird. This is our superbowl... even if we didn't make it this year, this is our chance to win something. COME ON ZEE!!!

Guys lets not resort to macros. The guy running the competition checks the fansites around the web and all it takes is for him to find one member of the 'Skins fanbase saying they are using macros and we could get disqualified. If Poe is using macros then I'm sure he'll be found out and then he could get disqualified.

We are up against a monster here. There seems to be a lot of Redskins hate around the web and that's why we are up against more than one fanbase, the Vikings/Eagles fans are still p.o.'d about losing to us and they are helping out Poe. We just need to step it up, voting ends tomorrow night and we are losing 56-48 as of now.

It's 55%-45% in favor of Poe right now. With an UNREAL 6,496,077 votes as of this moment. This can't be legit.

Eagles and Vikings fans are running macros and probably some Ravens fans as well. You guys must never visit ES because it's been discussed ad nauseum about who's doing it and how. The Ravens board has been an interesting read as well. Eagles, Vikings and Ravens fans have all been pretty vocal about what they will resort to in order to win.

Our guys didn't start it, but some are using macros to try and at least stay within reach of them. One Eagles fan has stated something special is going to happen during the last hour of voting. Whatever that means.

CBS knows most of the votes aren't legit, but if they acknowledge it, then what happens to their little contest?

Nice one lol, I forgot the exact numbers from when I came up with it, I think it was something like 56-44 percent. So if that's true then we're losing worse than i thought.

All I'm saying is if we stoop to their level we're just as guilty. What happens if CBS Sportsline knows both of us are cheating? Well then I guess the competition has no winner lol.

There is no way in hell that we can make up the % gap when there are over 7 million votes cast already.

We might have a chance if they decide to throw out the voting totals of the past two rounds and use total votes from the First Round to the SemiFinals to determine a winner. Those rounds seemed to be the least influenced by repeat voters.

We might have a chance if they decide to do that. It would also be legit since the voting totals through those rounds are probably the most accurate.

Sad to see that Chief Zee lost to Poe. It seems our numerous enemies ganged up against us and we couldn't overcome that. I'm glad he made it to the Finals though, I'm proud of the effort we had to show our support for Chief Zee.

Most Fierce NFL Mascot Competition: Chief Zee vs. Poe

No. 8 Washington vs. No. 16 Baltimore

Editor's note: In determining the winner of the NFL's Fiercest Mascot, some voters compromised the integrity of this contest by jamming votes for either team by way of automation in an attempt to either sabotage or assist a team in the process. As such, we pinpointed when this occurred after doing some research and have made a decision to use the voting percentages prior to the automation of votes. As such, we concluded that Poe won based on the percentages displayed below. Congratulations on winning this year's contest.

They pinpointed when the multiple votes started? SURE THEY DID. They couldn't even find cheating when the Eagles were "jamming" votes but suddenly became internet geniuses? Uh huh...

Zee is the winner in my book.

Re: Vote for Chief Zee!

This past Saturday night my sister threw a party and her best friend brought over her new boyfriend who was none other than the Raven's mascot, Poe. More accurately, he's the guy who plays Poe at all the games and events. As annoyed as I was that a) the guy who cheated to beat Chief Zee was at my parents' house, and b) that his car covered in goofy Poe pictures was parked in front of said house, he was actually a pretty cool guy.

We joked around about the contest and he said he was excited that the Washington Post wrote an article bashing him. He told us how cool the ProBowl is but how hard it is on the guys who play the mascots because they have to be in the suits out in the heat for like a week straight. He said that he's dreading when the Redskins and the eagles come to baltimore this year because he knows it's going to be insane. He also signed some cards that he had for some of the kids in the neighborhood.

He said that this was obviously not a career he had in mind but that he was the mascot at college (I'm not sure where) and he did a good job and had fun with it and somehow that lead him to the Ravens but he's not sure how long he'll do it. He gets paid a salary by the team but also makes commission on appearances at events and parties, which he has to set up himself. He said he also fills in for the Oriole from time to time.

So, while I still can't stand the ravens I'll probably think twice before I start throwing eggs at their mascot when I go to the game in baltimore this year.
