It was actually Smoot who got beat

JWsleep 08-27-2004 09:27 PM

wow. Gotta fix this soon!!!

CRT3 08-27-2004 09:27 PM
that would be me, lott has played strong, tying up blockers on several occasions
Yes he has been tying up blockers but I thought the idea on defense was to shed the blocker and tackle the man with the ball?

CRT3 08-27-2004 09:28 PM
It was actually Smoot who got beat
Smoot had outside responsbility. Taylor should have been on the inside

Gmanc711 08-27-2004 09:30 PM

Our RB's look like ass too

JWsleep 08-27-2004 09:30 PM

weak!

SmootSmack 08-27-2004 09:31 PM
It was actually Smoot who got beat
Never thought I'd say this....Smoot got Smacked! He better step it up, he's not doing my warpath name proud

MTK 08-27-2004 09:32 PM
theres no way, IMO that he broke his leg. he def wouldnt have walked, and the close up on his leg didnt look bad at all. if it were broken, hed be carted off, and in a lot more pain
looks like he just tweaked his ankle, he should be ok

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:35 PM

man whats our deal. I get here late to watch teh game and it looks like we forgot all thethings we were doing well before this game.

Gmanc711 08-27-2004 09:35 PM

At least we can cover punts

CRT3 08-27-2004 09:36 PM

Tupa is average is 45.2, I like that.

Gmanc711 08-27-2004 09:36 PM

Torry Holt is absolutley killing us

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:36 PM

holt is raveging them. Taylor is always there to help on teh tackle but hes abusing our corners.

SeasonTicketHolder 08-27-2004 09:37 PM

Finallyyyyyyyyyyyy

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:37 PM
Tupa is average is 45.2, I like that.
yea we havent had a punter in years

Gmanc711 08-27-2004 09:37 PM

I Will Be The First To Say What The Fuck Was That?

Cush 08-27-2004 09:37 PM

Taylor with the pick, and an ill-advised pitch

Dave Butz Baby! 08-27-2004 09:37 PM

Taylor! Yes!

But be smart, dammit!!

MTK 08-27-2004 09:37 PM

Taylor almost gave it right back, not smart

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:37 PM

Go Sean Taylor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CRT3 08-27-2004 09:37 PM

Great play at saftey by Taylor, but a bonehead lateral. Take that back to Miami please

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:38 PM

yea it was a stupid rookie mistake, great pick though

Big C 08-27-2004 09:39 PM
Yes he has been tying up blockers but I thought the idea on defense was to shed the blocker and tackle the man with the ball?
what is he...200 lbs? he tied up a 350 lb o lineman and the rest of the guys tackled him for a loss, not bad id say

kingerock 08-27-2004 09:39 PM

i about choked on a chip when he pitched it. But nice pick

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:39 PM

well not so hot from our starters from what i saw. Taylor is a beast but still is making a few rookie mistakes

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:40 PM

How did they look in the first qtr? did taylor or washingotn make plays? I was promised some free shots at the bar so i coudltn get back int ime?

JWsleep 08-27-2004 09:40 PM

Taylor can cover ground!!! Did you see how he gobbled up that space? I'm sure the QB didn't even know he was out there. Man.

Meanwhile, we are getting fried. Holt has like 150 yards IN THE HALF!!!!

And our offense has done nothing.

And Samuels is hurt. Won't be sure until they do x-rays.

DAMN!!!!!

SmootSmack 08-27-2004 09:41 PM

Another week another turnover caused by Taylor. Which leads me to this question: Is there a record for consecutive weeks with a turnover by an individual defensive player?

Gmanc711 08-27-2004 09:42 PM

Question: Did M. Washington even play today?

kingerock 08-27-2004 09:42 PM

Taylor Jacobs had a really nice catch, but coughed it up and gave the ball away. Ramsey looks horrid. I hope Samuels is okay and I'm glad they took Portis out after what looked like a stinger.

x44x 08-27-2004 09:46 PM

ramsey needs a year or two. spurrier messed him all up. he'll get it back though.

SmootSmack 08-27-2004 09:46 PM

I don't remember seeing Marcus Washington today

MTK 08-27-2004 09:48 PM

MW was out there, saw him blitzing a few times

MTK 08-27-2004 09:50 PM

First half thoughts:

-QB competition is officially over. Ramsey missed some wide open throws and was way off the mark on several others.

-Did anyone else almost have a heart attack when Samuels went down?

-Yeah the pass D got ripped up and the running game was non-existent, but let's remember this is the preseason. Vanilla schemes and not much gameplanning.

Gmanc711 08-27-2004 09:51 PM

We gotta remember Torry Holt is one of the top 5 recivers in the league. Actually I'd put him #2 on my list behind Harrison.

CRT3 08-27-2004 09:55 PM
what is he...200 lbs? he tied up a 350 lb o lineman and the rest of the guys tackled him for a loss, not bad id say
Yes on 1 play, but what about the rest of them. I just respectivly disagree with you that he is not a NFL saftey. I am sure the threads will be busy this week with that topic.

CRT3 08-27-2004 09:56 PM

Here comes a throw at Jimoh

JWsleep 08-27-2004 09:56 PM

Thank god!
Samules x-ray negative!

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:59 PM

yea i saw the play by jacobs, almost a good play...

SKINSnCANES 08-27-2004 09:59 PM

its good samuels is ok
