Alright since a handful of people, save 44 and Huntz, seem to have ignored the Hall-Owens connection I guess I have to bring it up again.

NFL fines Cowboys' Owens $35,000 for spitting on Hall - NFL - ESPN

Three years ago T.O. spit on DeAngelo Hall. After the game Hall said he didn't respect the guy as a man and to this day T.O. hasn't appoligized, at least to the publics knowledge, directly to D. Hall. Sure he appologized to the public but never to D. Hall man to man.

"After Terrell Owens spit in DeAngelo Hall's face in Saturday night's game, Hall insisted he'd have nothing to do with the Dallas receiver."

So let me say this again, to everyone here playing fantasy football. The Redskins will not sign Owens while they have Hall signed to a big contract.
eh, taylor spit on everyone, he was just passing it forward. that's really not that big a deal... the blowing up multiple locker rooms is a much bigger issue.

The Redskins have “no interest” in signing wide receiver Terrell Owens, executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato said.

Owens was released by the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, according to NFL.com.

“[Owens’s representatives] called us three years ago before he went to Dallas, and we didn’t have interest then,” Cerrato said. “Why would we have interest when he’s three years older now? We have no interest.”

Man you guys are so far off hating on TO like you do. He is not on our team and has caused havoc with two teams in our division. Then he has given us his antics off the field and those endless celibrations which people watched to see what he would do next. Remember the sharpy. That was cleaver. Then as a 49er when they had Rice day at the stadium Owens goes out and catches 21 passes as not to be shown up by a retired WR. He has given the sprots world tons of entertainment and I'll say I have enjoyed watching the show. With that said I'm glade he is not a Skin but I hope TO keeps being TO for years to come. NEXT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.

Dallas did'nt release TO. Romo did. TO knew he had to cry for Romo because he knew he(TO) would be the scapegoat if Romo failed. Well guess what? Romo failed. TO is gone.
News from The Associated Press

Owens caught more touchdown passes than any NFL receiver over the last three years and was a big part of Tony Romo's emergence from an unknown backup to a starlet-dating Pro Bowl quarterback with a $67 million contract.

The Romo-Owens relationship appeared to fray late this past season, with Owens upset about everything from game plans to pass distribution. He had 213 yards in one game, but cracked 100 yards in only one other game, the otherwise forgettable finale.

"I know it takes a lot of pressure off Romo," Hurd said. "A guy like him demands the ball and you want to get him the ball. Now he can look at all of us and see which one is open on any given play. ... I don't think that was a problem. That's just what could and might start happening."

Jones was slow to go along. Just a few weeks ago, he indicated Owens wasn't going anywhere and firmly said the idea of locker-room problems were "a figment of the result. You didn't hear about those things when we were winning."

Next year is Romo's turn if his play does'nt prove it was TO's fault. IMO

Williams will be #1 and will have a monster year if he stays healthy.

Witten is the best tight end in football and will have another monster year if healthy.

The Dallas Cowboys finally have formalized the release of receiver Terrell Owens and safety Roy Williams.
“Terrell Owens was a very productive player who performed at a very high level for all three of his years here in Dallas,” said owner Jerry Jones. “But we have made a decision to move forward without him.
“In the aftermath of the season, we talked about change. Some of what is changing involves the process and some of it involves people.
“This is a decision that was made based upon consideration for an entire team. We will move on now with a new team — a new attitude — and into a new stadium. The evaluation process and the prospect for change will continue at every level of the organization.”
In those 105 words, Jones said plenty.
He essentially admitted that all of the stories about dissension in the locker room were true, even though he had said they’re false.
He also has acknowledged that significant change is needed. So why hasn’t he fired the head coach?
Jones’ comments contradict the notion that he has been out of touch when it comes to the state of his team. The fact that he has not engaged in sweeping change, then, reinforces our suspicion that the combination of a sagging economy and the opening of a billion-dollar stadium might have prompted Jones to avoid the cost of buying out Wade Phillips (and the highly-compensated Jason Garrett) and then hiring their replacements.

As we’re doing with Mike Vick, we’ll be keeping a running tally of all of the teams that have said ”thanks” followed immediately by “no thanks” to the possibility of signing receiver Terrell Owens.

Please note that this only reflects teams that already have said that they’re not interested:

The Dallas Cowboys. (Duh.)

The New York Giants.

The Washington Redskins.

The Baltimore Ravens.

The San Francisco 49ers.

The Minnesota Vikings.

The Atlanta Falcons.

The Cleveland Browns.

The San Diego Chargers.

The Philadelphia Eagles.

The New York Jets.

The Tennessee Titans.

The St. Louis Rams.

Here are the teams that likely will join the list soon:

The Miami Dolphins.

This is a guy who epitomizes the "me first" attitude I despise in any sport. His "antics" are more annoying and childish than entertaining to me but then again I come from a time when football was about the hogs and Riggins and Roger Craig and Ronnie Lott. A clown like "to" would have been just bitch slapped by players like Lott, Manley, Mark Murphy, Fencik etc. In today's NFL, he can't be touched.

With Welker and Moss, and I can't imagine NE would want him. Belichick would HATE this guy.

Pittsburgh is simply way too classy of an organization to ever have TO. He'd probably get his ass kicked in their locker room during his first week with the team. For them, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Limas Sweed is an up-and-comer, plus they have Holmes and Ward.

I really don't see Dallas as a competitive team this year. I think i've said here before in my view Choko Romo will slide into mediocrity as time passes... i think he'll be more or less mediocre this year. Everything was fun and games for this guy in the beginning but massive pressure has been building and will only build more and if his history under pressure is any indication things will only get worse...

If he can have 1200 yards in Detroit he will have a huge year as the #1 receiver in Dallas.

Cooley is right there with Witten as a pass catcher and ball carrier (maybe a shade better) but he isn't near the blocker that Witten is.

Witten can shut down our ends without help, at least he could before the big boy showed up!
