You're right on part of this. Mike Smith is much worse. I've been trying to find a video, but can't. But if I remember correct Smith did throw an elbow and he definitely instigated the violence. Smith should have gotten suspended but Goodell held him to a different standard.

Address the incident at hand. What, exactly, did Hall do wrong immediately before Jacobs threw punches his way? It seems your eyes or memory served you wrong, you got called out for it, and now you're making matters worse by failing to admit that you are wrong about what transpired on the play. Dragging up Hall's past (and it's not a terribly checkered one) is totally irrelevant to the discussion about the Jacobs-Hall-Haynesworth fight.

I can't be sure but I've watched it and it looks like Hall knocks the ball loose and while it's in the air he shoves Jacobs away from the ball and Jacobs sticks his hand in Halls face and one of his buddies grabs Halls facemask and throws him down. Really too much is being made out it but if I were AH I would have done the same thing. It's no big thing but the officiating has been horrendous all year. If not Jacobs, the guy who threw Hall down should have been flagged.

Care to elaborate? People keep talking about Hall as though he's some punk or thug without identifying what makes him a punk or a thug. I have no idea what he's done wrong in the past and I have no clue how any such prior events have any bearing whatsoever about the current discussion (i.e., what happened between Jacobs, Hall and Haynesworth). Please fill me in.

I don't give two shits what you think. Where do you see me sticking up for Jacobs? I've lived and died with this team for around 34 years. I just don't like some of the guys on this team and if Joe Gibbs was still here I'm not sure we have guys like Hall and AH. To me they're not strong character guys or what I would call true Redskins. Hall signs his new deal, isn't here for 15 minutes and starts calling out teammates, gets in fights yet can't tackle Jake Delhomme. Sorry but I just can't root for guys like him. If you can then good for you. Have at it.

hall has had some issues before coming to washington but albert only had that one and he said it was a mistake and that he had matured since then. i wouldn't consider albert a bad character guy. hall,i can kinda see it sometimes but as for this particular incident hall did nothing wrong, he played through the whistle and jacobs did not, jacobs got mad and a little over agressive and we all saw what transpired.

I'm just calling out your weak arguments against these guys. Both Hall and Haynesworth have had their troubles and are definitely not the best character guys on the team. Yet I think its bogus when you make this stuff up (Hayesworth is fat lazy, when he's taken 70% of the snaps; Hall started the fight, when he really didn't). We know you don't like these guys period. But don't try to make these bogus arguments and get all upset when people call you out.

And stop pretending like the Redskins have not had players with character issues. While Riggins is great, do you think he was an upstanding citizen? Hell no. Dexter Manley, tons of issues off the field. Hell, even Sean Taylor had his issues too before he turned the corner (i.e. spitting incident with Michael Pittman). Shit, I hate Laron Landry because I think he has character issues, I think that Clinton Portis can have character issues, but you won't find me making up stuff about these guys to try to prove some point.

I know, I have a terrible habit of saying stuff like that, I need to stop. I just find it bogus when people go out of their way and make shit up when about players in the team they play. As long as any guy is wearing burgundy and gold, I'll root for them (even though sometimes some of them make it reaaaally hard to do so).

LOOK AT THE VIDEO!!!!!! It's on You Tube. Eli is getting sacked and the wistle is clearly BLOWN!!! Hall comes running up to Jacobs and nails him in the facemask AFTER the wistle is blown. The play was CLEARLY blown dead. Hall DESERVED to get punched and thrown to the ground like the girl that he is cause he acted like a bitch. You're getting your ass beat 38-12 and you're looking for a fight with a guy who will stomp your face in??? I can't stand Hall and I don't care if he didn't get fined. He started it cause he's a loser, always has been and always will be and that's why he's on his 3rd team and he's only like 25??? And to top it off Reed D. is holding Hall back and Hall actually takes a swing a Reed. I hope we have no cap next year so a total house cleaning can begin.

Manley and Riggins were no saints. But they didn't come in out of shape and they didn't pull the on the field antics that Hall does. Personally I don't care what these guys do off the field. But RESPECT THE GAME. That means be a fucking PROFESSIONAL. AH isn't one cause he's not in shape. If you can't see that then so be it. And even though he plays in 70% of the plays he's constantly loafing. Hall and Landry and just need to grow the hell up and just ball. No need to showboat and start fights when your team SUCKS. Do you see Orakpo acting like a bitch on the field? NO! Cause he all about business and taking care of his business. And even though he's a rookie he's already more mature than Hall and Landry.

Just like the Atlanta fight, this one began because Hall and Jacobs are both windbags who talk a good game, and struggle to back it up on the field. It's not often that our corner will end up on their running back, but c'mon, who among us is honestly shocked that this happened?

As for Hall, I mean, the best thing that came out of this is that Haynesworth was willing to come over and defend him when Jacobs started swinging. No one on New York was quick to rush to the defense of Jacobs. That says something. Maybe it's just that the Giants are more focused on the game than the Redskins are. Or maybe it says that they don't like Jacobs. Or maybe both.

Re: Haynesworth Appreciation Thread

Look, I always wanted AH to come here, even when people didn't want him here, I feel that more people like that he's here now, and rightfully so. He's easily our best Dlineman, and plays with heart and how the game is supposed to be played. Remember against Atlanta D-Hall got into the scuffle then the whole falcon bench comes over and surrounds D-hall, and starts pushing him. Then out of nowwhere comes fat al and he just pushes a bunch of falcons aside and get Dhall out of there, and makes other falcons scarred of him. Then came the other night when again D-hall(see a trend here) gets into a scuffle with brandon jacobs and not many people are gonna fight brandon, but who comes to the rescue, the $100 million man, 6'6 350lb Albert Haynesworth. He's not afraid to swing and start shit with the other team. He could care less about fines. Oh and I forgot to mention, him making all that money being guranteed, it surprises me and Really makes me happy that every time he gets injured he doesn't say, "I can't play this week," or "Sit me coach". No, he makes efforts to play and even when he injures his ankle in games or gets carted off the field, he still returns, and still wants to play to prove something to the other team and his own team. I also like Al because he isn't afraid to speak his mind, if he thinks we played bad he'll say it. If Blache is holding him back, he'll say it, if Zorn is holding him out from practicing he'll say it.

Like you said, I think the Titans are missing him, but he had 8 sacks last year with them. I think our scheme is primarily responsible for the downturn in production. And I think he's been great here, particularly in short yardage situations. I think there's a whole number of stats that would show his impact for our team. But ultimately, I feel that there's not enough there to suggest that Carter and Orakpo's production is due to anyone except themselves.[/quote]

Both Jacobs and Hall clearly did not hear the whistle...Jacobs got the ball and Hall made a play on the ball and stripped it. If you take of your biased glasses for a second, you'll see Hall watching the toss from Manning to Jacobs develop, and he goes for the ball. If anyone is being a bitch, it would be Jacobs, since he retaliated when Hall was going for the ball. Once again, weak argument from your part.

Obviously you can't stand thet guy, so much that you come and make these bogus arguments (on a thread that wasn't even about Hall!!). And they are bogus because the league didn't fine him. You think in a league where Chad Ochocinco gets fined 20K for wearing a f'ing sombrero, a player who started a fight wouldn't get fined?

Manley was a great player, but you forget he was banned from the league for failing multiple drug tests, how's that being a professional and respecting the game? I'm sorry but when your actions off the field affect your play on the field, that's not being a professional (just ask Pacman Jones).

Once again, just give it up with this because you can't win when you make up stuff. Maybe you'll get lucky and Hall will do something, but until then just stick to the facts.
