whew, I would love if we got Best. He is such an athlete, and he gives his all on every play. What is his personality like, anyone know? Is he a ghetto idiotic dirtbag, or is he a nice, humble person? You know, a U of miami type, or a stanford type, lol.......
I am sure someone will give an example of the exact opposite in terms of attitude......... oh well......heheheheh
A friend of mine has had classes with him, said he seems to be a good guy, but doesn't really know him outside of school. Says he hasn't heard anything to make him believe that there's another side to him. |

Yeah I was talking to Matty and Scud about this the other day. His situation is unique to say the least |
Re: Dream Draft
My dream draft is:
1st Round: Sam Bradford 2nd Round: Charles Brown USC If that happened I would be thrilled regardless of what they did in the other rounds. |

Yeah, thats why he may be there in the fourth. Has all the talent and a very hard worker. |
Re: Dream Draft
I don't know what would be worse to have on my team, michael vick a dog killer, or Tony washington a sex offender.

Oh I think he'll definitely be there in the 4th, after hearing this, I think he may not get drafted at all, I mean think, your pretty much restricting the guy from the public/fans, you'll probably have some protesters against sex offenders, its a situation that teams don't want to be put in. Would you really want to draft this guy? |

Yeah. You have to wonder about what kind of home life he had. I wonder if he got any kind of counseling after that? It was consentual but nonetheless very disturbing. The good news he hasn't had any trouble in the last 7 years. He has alot of talent on the field. |
just heard mike mayock say that he's a registered sex offender....
Did he give any details? A registered sex offender could be a rapist or a 19 year old with a 17 year old girl friend. The first would not even be on my draft board but the latter i don't even consider a crime. |

Well I think they just said they believe it was consensual. Maybe she just didn't want to say anything or whatever, but either way it's a messed up situation. But he also doesn't have much playing experience. I'd rather have a raw Bruce Campbell than a raw Tony Washington |
Re: Dream Draft
ok its pretty bad. Just read he possibly slept with his 15 year old sister. He was 16. Still at that age it hard to say the circumstances and it was consentual.
“I made a mistake at the age of 16, and for that, I am deeply sorry,” Washington said. “I will not try and excuse or justify anything. I have worked extremely hard to do everything right so that I might have an opportunity to give back. I only hope that someone in the NFL will give me the same opportunity that Abilene Christian and Trinity Valley gave me.” In May 2003, Washington was convicted of having sex with a relative that multiple NFL and college sources say was his 15-year old biological sister. The act was consensual, according to his college coaches and two NFL scouts, who spoke to him about the incident. The sister does not wish to speak publicly on the case, according to Washington’s agent, who added that the siblings are now on good terms and talk often. Washington received five years probation and did not serve jail time. |
Re: Dream Draft
He will be drafted, and in the forth we would be lucky to get him. He could start this year at LT.

Dude, you dont know the situation. He was 16 and his sister was 15. They were kids. I am wondering two things, why was he put on a registered sex offenders list, at 16 and it seems to me that his sister was just as guilty. You dont know what family life he was exposed to. Also, I wrote the first part thinking he was an adult and his sister was 15. That's more an indictment of our current LT situation than a testament to his skills |

Having sex with your sister is pretty sick, but he was 16 and he hasn't had any troubles since so if he's available in the 4th take him. |

He probably had a good 4 years of puberty at that time. He certainly knew what sex was. I don't think teenage immaturity is sufficient to explain why the hell he did that. Upbringing or other environmental factors may have had something to do with it. |
Re: Dream Draft
For those looking for a QB after the first round, Kafka is really impressing the scouts.

Re: Dream Draft

True, but he's started 19 games and played in 27 and has a career rating of 123.9. I wouldn't compare him to Bradford but he might be worth a shot unless his stock goes up too high as it probably will after his Pro Day. Bradfords numbers are unreal. I think he completed 21 of 23 passes in his first start and threw 22 straight completions in his second. The competition he got those numbers against might not have been that great but that is still outstanding for your first 2 games. I'm looking forward to LeFevour's pro day. I find it interesting that Jevan Snead has been compared to Phillip Rivers. I know you mentioned something about personal problems but I wonder if this guy can handle pressure or will he turn into Ryan Leaf after going pro? |
Re: Dream Draft
Would'nt it be great, if the Bills gave us a second round pick to move up to take Clausen.

clausen will still be there when the bills pick, unless a team trades right in front of them to take him. if the bills wanted to make sure they got him, the highest theyd have to trade up is 7. |
