Re: Portis/ Parker Combination?

NFL.com reports free-agent LB Larry Foote is seeking a deal that exceeds LB Scott Fujita’s contract, according to a league source. Foote, a veteran with lots of 3-4 experience, is being sought by several teams playing that scheme. Arizona, Washington and Pittsburgh are in the hunt, and according to a source familiar with the process, Foote is hoping to exceed Fujita’s deal with the Browns, which includes $8 million guaranteed.

I'm going to kill them if they grab Grossman. It also sounds like that CP may be a part of a real committee and his numbers will go down.

I'm surprised Parker hasn't signed yet. I have a feeling he has but it's just not announced yet. Just speculating though

Grossman has made plenty of sense as an option here for a few weeks now. The one good season he had I picked him in the final round of my fantasy football draft...and he carried me all the way to the championship game. So I'm forever grateful to him.

Plus I'm totally planning on changing my user name to SexyRexy. That way, when someone disagrees with me, let's just say DynamiteRave for the heck of it, she'll say "I think you're wrong...but you're still Sexy"

Any clue what type of money he's looking for?

Hell we need a starting QB too....Jason is the present, but he is not taking this team anywhere....

Free agent linebacker Larry Foote came to town, visited with Redskins officials and apparently is hitting the road without a new contract. Oh well!!!

What about Anderson? Think he will make it to Redskin Park?

SmootSmack 03-09-2010 04:59 PM

Re: Portis/ Parker Combination?

Anderson's been rumored since before free agency even began to be a lock for Arizona

I'd rather see a Shanny/Lombardi Trophy combination regardless who's running the ball.

Not to disrespect either player, but these are two old cars with worn tires. We need fresh legs and more beef up front in the trenches. Period. Both sides of the ball. I would feel comfortable with another veteran to go in when Portis starts b&%^@ing, but really it doesnt matter because the offensive line has holes in it. 280 lbs+ players win football games. Smaller guys make it fun to watch. We need to stop concerning ourselves with backs and focus on moving piles forward.

Truer words were never spoken. Any HB shy of Barry Sanders is pointless unless we beef up our line
