Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
If Dallas drafts Tate my head is going to explode. Tate would be a solid pick for the Ravens.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
God I love Jerry Jones. Can't wait for Dallas to get back to the Quincy Carter/Dave Campo days.

It's more of a reference to JLC's insistence on continuing the story all the while it's been told again and again that he will not be traded. I guess that Jason Taylor trade to the Redskins really burned him a few years ago. |

I think JLC is still bitter about not breaking the AH news last year, so he wants to break this news. So just keep insisting and insisting. |

What I was referring to was this article where JLC actually got pissed at Vinny for not tipping his hand before the Jason Taylor trade. I think it's similar now where he hear's Shanahan say no and in his head he hears yes based on the experience with Vinny. Redskins Insider - The Immaculate Deception
But yesterday, minutes after the afternoon practice was over, here is what Cerrato said to the local media, repeatedly: "We haven't talked to anybody yet on anything." He then denied, again, any attempts to land Taylor to representatives of virtually every media entity that approached him at Redskins Park.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
What the hell? More corners?
1(65) St. Louis Rams Jerome Murphy CB South Florida 2(66) Detroit Lions Amari Spievey CB Iowa 3(67) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Myron Lewis CB Vanderbilt Just rename this the 2010 NFL Cornerback Selection Meeting. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Crap. I was hoping for him to be around in the 4th.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Cleveland still has two 3rd round pick, they can have Campbell for one of them. Come on Holmgren! LOL.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
You've got to be kidding me...after the patriots get my MLB choice number one, Spikes, Chargers just got my MLB choice 2 Donald Butler... God Damnit Vinny!!!

|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Well no more 3rd rounder for Campbell. A 4th and a 6th? Ugh. Poor JC.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
What? We were 15 picks away from drafting McCoy...
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
I'm really hoping that Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB from Indiana University of Pennsylvania falls to us in the 4th. I'm a student at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and I have gotten a chance to see this kid play in person. He's an excellent CB, but he's also a great special teams player, terrific punt returner, and he can also project as a FS in the NFL. He would be good value in the 4th and he can come in and play special teams right off the bat, while being groomed to be a future starter at CB or FS.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
If Bruce Campbell is available at the top of the 4th would you guys like him drafted there?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
^ I wouldn't mind him, does anyone think that Bowman could be a 3-4 MLB or is he too small?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
What pick do we have in the 4th?
|
^ I wouldn't mind him, does anyone think that Bowman could be a 3-4 MLB or is he too small?
Bowman is 6'0 242 lbs, so he's not that small, but I think he projects more as an OLB in 4-3 system. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
What pick do we have in the 4th?
I believe pick 103, but I could be wrong. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Mike Mayock's voice is gone. Hopefully this means we'll be hearing less of him. I know he's the draft guru on NFLN but him and Mel Kiper both annoy the hell out of me.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Why haven't these two threads been merged yet?
Signed, Wannabe Mod |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
theres still some good 3-4 OLB's out there.

Really I felt like Mayock has done an excellent job so far. I think it's obvious that while ESPN might have the big names and fancy graphics it's obvious that the guys on NFLN have much better chemistry. Not to mention better experts and information gathering. I mean don't get me wrong ESPN has some smart guys on the set for their draft coverage but they keep interrupting each other which annoys the hell out of me. NFLN's guys wait for each other to finish a sentence. If I wanted to see people cut each other off I would watch The O'Reily Factor. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Bruce Campbell, OT Maryland is still available as of pick 95. Pretty good RT prospect for us? Does he make it to 103?
I'd love that one. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Colt McCoy talking about being excited to go to Cleveland reminds me of Ichiro's Cleveland quote:
"To tell the truth, I'm not excited to go to Cleveland, but we have to. If I ever saw myself saying I'm excited going to Cleveland, I'd punch myself in the face, because I'm lying."
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
I'm betting Campbell does and it'll be a steal for us. He'll be motivated to prove all those teams wrong that thay passed on him.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Is Campbell projected as a RT?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 2-3
Is Campbell projected as a RT?
He played LT at MD, but from what I hear he'll be a better RT than LT in the pros. |
