Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
Well a lot of teams are wearing white at home due to the heat earlier in the season.

One of the problems I have with this uniform as shown in this picture is that nothing is done with the socks. I still hate the idea but the striped 70's socks make it look much better. Oddly this is one of those rare times where Madden can be used to show how something will look in real life. |
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
Well that's a manipulated photo not from the Skins.. prob white socks? I don't know.

Well here's my take on the whole, "if you must wear yellow pants it should look this." Sorry, for resorting to Madden but I suck with photoshop. Heck I don't even own photoshop. Also sorry for resorting to taking a picture right off my TV. |
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
yeah looks good with the white socks
get ready to see it opening night |
yeah looks good with the white socks

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I don't think it will be a regular thing, only really expecting to see it opening night, but we'll just have to wait

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
solid burgundy socks - solid white shoes
so fresh, so clean i'm telling you |

Dirt, I just got Madden 11 a week ago and I aways change the skins home unis to include the yellow or gold pants. I like that look. I also loved the all white we use to run as well. |

All whites are the best IMO
All whites are the best IMO
We definitely won often in All White. The Skins never wear their burgandy tops at home for some reason, I guess to make the Cowboys wear their blue tops, which they hate, but I would love to see them wear their home colors at home, like they should. |
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
First gold pants now gold uni's? I think as far as our jerseys are concerned gold is a condiment. You can't make a whole meal with a big pile of mustard and one or two fries.
I'm with you. There's a reason they decided to ditch the gold pants. It just doesn't look very good. The 2002-2003 retro gold pants are OK. But I wouldn't want to see them permanently. Just keep the burgundy jerseys/white pants and white jerseys with burgundy pants and be done with it. |
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
With Marty they wore the burgundy jerseys at home.

Besides playing at Washington, they also play @ Houston, @ Philly, and @ Arizona -- all of whom have been known to wear white jerseys at home. Has there been anything definitive from the Redskins about going away from the traditional white jerseys at home this year? |

Woo hoo...gold vs. Dallas? We'll see.
I always liked how we'd force them to wear blue jerseys though. |

About an hour and a half after it was taken my PS3 got the yellow light of death. |
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
So the Redskins.com team store now has legendary jersey's for sale and the "home replicas" are burgundy. I guess we are offically wearing burgandy tops at home this year, but who knows what color the bottoms will be?!
|
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I'm taking a wild guess and saying gold pants.

for what it's worth the store has always had the burgundy listed as home and the white as away and I'm sticking to what I've said for months.. we'll open with gold pants and burgundy jerseys |
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
i would dig it

How does Sony handle the yellow light death light issue?
$150 repair, then a one or two week round trip from when they send you the box to ship it to when they get it back to you. I'm putting together the money as we speak |

Agree totally about the same ol' white jerseys week after week during the Gibbs and Norv years. But really we'll be in the burgundy jerseys at least nine times with the away game against Dallas. Sometimes the Eagles, Titans, and Jags wear white at home, too. I'm not so sure about the gold pants though... |

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
Crap, Brady just signed a deal thats expected to pay out $19 million per year. Thats Lebron James type money. I know we can afford it financially but my biggest concern is what happens when the salary cap comes back. Then again no way are we letting McNabb walk away.

Probably not, but that might not be our choice. Even if he does stay which I believe he will, McNabb is not Brady money. |
Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
No not all Skins, I agree. The man will get paid but not anything close to that contract. Maybe the same as far as length, but no where near that kind of cash.
