Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
And Dumervil just signed the largest contract in history for a pass rusher. Tsk...Tsk...

Again, just early speculation. But word is it's actually a torn pectoral muscle. Which from what I understand is at least four months before you can play again with a torn pectoral muscle. Is there a doctor in the house who can confirm?
About 4 months is what Schefter is saying: Sources: Elvis Dumervil of Denver Broncos has torn pectoral - ESPN |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Bills tackle Ed Wang had thumb surgery, out indefinitely.
Only mentioned it since so many of us wanted him in our Mock Draft. :D An another draft pick, Hardesty (RB-Browns) is out for camp, until Week 1, tweaked his knee. |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Elvis is a beast pass rusher. Man Denver looks worse and worse after starting out 6-0 last season.

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
I seez. The Mile High Patriotz iz reelingz.

In watching him during the senior bowl I was iffy on his footwork. I ended up being more of a Ducasse guy when it came to backup options. |

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Awwwwwwwww... :D
Back to Wang as a Skins draft pick...I think most people wanted him to play along side the free agent from the Steelers...Colon. |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
huge loss for denver. so in the last year they're lost cutler, marshall and now dumerville. i think this is the year they're going to really fall off the table. i see 4-6 wins.

Too many guys on the ground after plays here in Denver. Not good. RG Chris Kuper just went down with a right leg injury. about 1 hour ago via OpenBeak If all these injuries continue to pile up, they may end up buying McD's another year with Tebow. |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Jarvis Moss got hurt in Denver also today

Not on the Philly fans level, but close. |

Wow Denver is getting crushed this year and the season hasn't even began.

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Broken bone in his hand for Jarvis Moss, couple of weeks and he should be fine
Sprained ankle for Chris Kuper, maybe a day or two, not a big deal |

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
ESPN reporting that Dallas TE John Phillips is out for the season with a torn ACL. What little I watched from the HOF game, he was catching everything thrown at him.

Wow!! he looked awesome last night, I'm shocked. I thought he would push Martellus bennett for the #2 spot. He had a really good night catching and blocking. |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Season at minimal, possible career ending for Holt.
Torry Holt's season is over Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on August 15, 2010 3:21 PM ET The speculation regarding whether Torry Holt will make the Patriots roster can end, possibly along with Holt's career. The Patriots placed Holt on injured reserve Sunday, ending his season. Holt was absent from practice the last few days, and his agent tells Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com that Holt will undergo knee surgery this week. We wondered aloud if Holt would even make the team, and his odds didn't look great with the young players in front of him performing well. Holt is only 34 years old, but it's worth wondering whether his career will continue. He spent almost two months on the open market as a free agent before the Patriots signed him. The seven-time Pro Bowler will make an interesting Hall of Fame case one day. The peak of his career was truly brilliant, but his production dropped off a cliff after age 31. With Holt done for the season, Sam Aiken looks like a better bet to make the Patriots. |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Damn, another one from the Greatest Show on Turf bites the dust. Still seems like only yesterday they were lighting up the league.
|
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Warner, Holt, Bruce, and Pace all potentially done the same year. Remarkable

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Cowboys OL Marc columbo has been carted off the field with a knee injury according to espn radio Dallas. MRI is being taken as we speak. If he's out for the season, ouch for dallass

???? So he can replace Gurode? He's a center, after all. |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Columbo only out 2-4 wks
|

Man, that makes me feel good AND bad that I thought Columbo was center...
 Nothing to see here, move along. |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Its funny as hell to read the Cowboys blog...man the sky is just falling. Glad to see it happen on other sites as well. Jerry had to make the flashy move and draft Bryant when Tackle was a major need area for them. Very Vinny-like...poor Walmart Greeter Wide Dough Boy Wade, I cant wait to see those classic facial expressions when the Skins have double digits sacks in the third the quarter, beat the hell out of those Cowgurls week 1
|
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Wade totally looks like he has no idea he's on a football field. He looks like a senile old man who just randomly wondered into an arena and is like, "Guys... where's my Hoveround?"

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Well it seems you all beat me to the news. lol. I came here to let you all know about the cowboys RT. lol. I'm not going to say anything negative cause I definitly don't want the "Karma" bug to decend upon us for any bad thoughts or comments but I can't help but get the feeling this benifits us somehow.
On a side note the Eagles lost 2 OL. Jamaal Jackson, Todd Herremans return to Philadelphia Eagles practice - ESPN |
Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
Jon Kitna may become a fantasy contributor. Well, he was a 4000+ yard passer in Detroit.

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League
8-12 weeks, do you chance bringing him back this year? Hard to say. That's at least 1/3 of the season. Then you gotta get him back into football shape.

Perhaps Vinny has been secretly working for them on the side...and that's why he sabotaged us for so many years. |
