The only problem I see with those is that they wouldnt go too well with our current jerseys. So maybe next season they can tweak the tops a little and we could see something like that.

Overall I liked the look from last night.

The Uni's they wore last night,are now my favorite Uni's!!

I absolutely loved the color combination. The bright Gold/yellow Pants and the Bad XXX Burgundy Tops!
Perfect color combination imo!!

It gave me a modern new Redskins culture feel,but retro Bobby Mitchell look that this team needed in a seriously bad way!

I hope to GOD this is permanent or at least worn more than twice a century...lolol

I haven't been this excited about Redskins football since Gibbs 1.0

I've been watching Comcast and Redskins Nation tonight, this locker room is starting to gain a lot of confidence. Santana Moss said they haven't had this kind of energy in four or five years. He said it's definitely different.

He'll need major reconstructive surgery. A useful and highly versatile fullback prior to the injury, Weaver had just signed an extension through 2012 this offseason. Coming off such a serious injury, he won't be brought back at his 2011 salary of $2.5 million, and might be lucky just to play again.

Yep and they also just signed his replacement in Owen Schmitt FB from Seattle...
Isn't that the crazy college FB with the mohawk?

I remember his name now. Schmitt was the guy who bashed his own head open with his own helmet. I posted his Youtube video in the Super Happy Fun Thread.

He'll fit in fine in Philly.

They allowed me to reflect back to the times when the Redskins really began to become relevant again. They represent the era in time when this whole Cowboys vs Redskins rivalry began to take form.

With Bruce Allen now back in the Redskin family, his father being the author of the rivalry, no better time to sport the uniform of such historic flavor. I like um!!

I'm beginning to feel like Zorn.... I'm so happy to root for the Burgundy, Yellow, and White. However it was a nice change. I really like what Allen is doing. I hope MS has a great yr but if not I certainly hope everyone... owner, GM, and fans are patient enough to allow the bus to get on the right road vs. jumping off and looking for a new bus and driver.

MS's offense is proven, proven all the way back to the 49ers when he was the OC there. KS's offense is proven while he was in Houston. It made it to the playoffs after his second yr. I'm so happy we fans stepped up and roared and happy that perhaps for once we fans made a difference and the owner listened, atleast I like to think thats how it went down. Cerrato gone. Lame duck HC's gone. New GM in place who gets along with the HC. The next 10 yrs belong to the Skins NFCE, we've finally come to play.

I'm coming around on the updated 70's look. I'd still like to see white and burgundy pants but the Gold Pants with the burgundy jerseys really were pretty cool. Anyway as long as it's not an actual 70's look I'll be on board.

It's gold. It's organic gold (like goldenrod) rather than metallic gold.

Being a WVU guy, i would love to have Schmidt here in Washington. He is one bad ass dude. He could fill in / take Sellers job with ease. Plus he plays special teams like a crazed monster. They were selling those t-shirts in seattle after he busted his head open during team introductions. "get Schmidt faced" with his bloody mug on them. pretty cool.

I voted stay, even though I really wish they would use more of a "Gold" metalic color. I see Tampa using Pewter instead of dark grey and it looks good. Dallas and Detroit use Silver, the Rams went back to Gold vs. Yellow, the Patriots use silver, the 49ers would be the only club even close to using "Gold" besides the Rams. I'd like to see us use the colors we are actually named for.... Burgundy and Gold.

But the uni's looked good otherwise.

Wiki has a whole page about gold colors, there are of course lots of variations, and the pants certainly fall in the broad spectrum:

seems a bit of a nitpicky argument to say that it has to be one specific shade of gold. I like the idea of going to closer to burgundy and gold (whatever shade) than white, which to me was as bad as black uniforms. Just use our colors

I'd much rather see them wear the Burgundy jerseys with white pants rather than these icky mustard yellow pants. They should go back to the gold pants like they wore in the mid-60s. As long as they never, never wear those all burgundy uniforms from last year.
